Guests will soon be able to take to the skies on a magic carpet ride once again at Disneyland Paris, with the resort officially announcing the reopening date for its Flying Carpets over Agrabah attraction.
The Aladdin-themed family ride will reopen later this weekend, November 9, 2024, following its extensive 10-month-long refurbishment.

The ride closed in January, and during this closure, the Walt Disney Imagineering and Design & Delivery teams collaborated on updating the attraction in numerous ways, both in terms of visuals and design, as well as its overall safety.
The attraction was mostly dismantled during its closure, with all pieces of the central structure being renovated by Disneyland Paris’ central workshops teams, according to Disneyland Paris News.
Some of the new details can be seen in a post shared by Twitter/X user Cafe_Mickey.

The attraction is found inside Walt Disney Studios Park, one of two theme parks featured at Disneyland Paris. The resort’s original theme park, Disneyland Park, first opened in 1992, while Walt Disney Studios has welcomed guests since 2002.
The Aladdin attraction is a near-carbon copy of the one found at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, which itself was a reimagining of Disney’s classic Dumbo spinner ride.

While certainly not the most intense or thrilling offering at the Disney theme parks, Dumbo The Flying Elephant is often used in Disney Park commercials and other marketing opportunities, becoming one of the company’s most recognizable theme park attractions of all time as a result.
Both of Disneyland Paris’ theme parks are undergoing significant changes at the moment. Earlier this year, Disneyland Paris confirmed it will be renaming its Walt Disney Studios theme park as part of these renovations.
Soon, Walt Disney Studios Park will be known as Disney Adventure World, a name that theoretically gives Disneyland Paris a lot more wiggle room when it comes to new attractions, rides, restaurants, and other themed experiences.
