Good Idea. Too Damn expensive for all of it. They are catering to the rich, and Walt himself would not be pleased that only the rich could afford any of it. I make close to 6 figures a year and it’s ridiculous the prices for all of it…that being said..it is my favorite place ever!! 😢

  2. Would be better if it included the ticket. And if it had a a Park Hopper option

I love Disney, we’ve been going for a long time, first my children, now our grandchildren too. We spend a lot of money going . But to have to add $400,.00 per person and like there are 15 of us!!!! It’s a lot but to go & get two rides that you want that’s nuts too!!! They’re going to price themselves just for the rich!!!

O, I’m sorry madam, I missed the part where they forced you to add on that extra voluntary cost for an extra service. I feel bad for you, it must have been hard.

these prices are the reason we gave up our annual passes and are raveling in Europe instead.

Bet you’ve never stepped a foot outside your basement with your chicken wing stained moomoo let alone had annual passes to give up.

This the price gouging the VP should have talked about but Disney was probably one of her backers

Glad to see they are opening it up to more guests. I have a very particular hotel i like to stay at when I go to Orlando that isn’t a Disney property, only an affiliate. Hopefully they loosen the hold a bit more.

How is this price gouging? They introduced a new premium product that is not even required for a visit. Price gouging is increasing prices on necessities or items that already exist for the purpose of making money off tragedy. Like knowing there was a storm and increasing the price of bottled water.

Creating a new product and setting a price for it is literally standard sales. Being financially unable to buy something premium doesn’t make the premium item bad, just means it’s not for you. By your logic a Lamborghini should cost the same as a Kia, because something premium and expensive is price gouging…

Matt you can’t bring logic into this crazytown discussion. The inmates don’t want logic, they want to go on crazy rants and shake their fists at Disney for oppressing them, then they want to go to work at their high school entry jobs and get pissed for why they can’t have nice things.

This has gotten insane. I live just over an hour from the parks, near Tampa. We were passholders for years, but chose not to renew this year due to the cost and traffic getting to and from the parks. We gave up our Universal passes for the same reason. I have a good salary, in the 130s, and combined with my wife’s PT income, we gross about $150k a year. Great for the TPA area, but we can’t afford WDW vacations any longer. It’s just my wife and I, our 13/yo daughter and my wife’s 82/yo widowed father in our house, and he would pay his own way should we take a Disney vacation. It’s just completely out of reach for us. The Disney Cruise Line is still within reach, depending upon the specific itinerary l, though we are afraid it’s only a matter of time before DCL prices us out.

Wow you are lucky to make such good money. Funny I make less than you, live in a higher cost of living state and yet still find a way to prioritize my life and apparently save for the things I want, like Disney, to be able to comfortably do them. Maybe it’s a you problem, but I guess it’s easier to blame everyone else.

I am traveling from Alaska to go to Disney. These prices make me rethink about spending all my time in the Disney park. What kind of family friendly is this?

  8. Jerry Atrix

Of course the cash grabbing Disney would open this option to ALL guests. Why should they limit another nickel and dime grab to just those staying in a deluxe resort.

Go back to the way Mr. Disney intended! Family friendly entertainment that the average family can afford.
Pay park admission and get in line.
All I see people on their phone trying to get ques, passes, line privileges. Stressed out!
When the time should be spent on the people you came with.
Go back to buy a park pass and get in line.

Universal has had express pass for years and nobody seemed to care . Suddenly Disney does it and everyone is up in arms . Life has always been unfair to the poorer of us but Disney is a business and cares about their bottom line just like all businesses . Believe it or not . I will not pay extra ever . But I still will go and enjoy it even if god forbid I gotta wait in line . Everywhere we go we wait in line . Guess people seem to forget that .

People have become very impatient. Perhaps this is why some will pay these prices to not have long wait times for their ride of choice.
