Bob Iger knows how to exploit the wealthy. I have no doubt Disney World will keep doing it.
The Evermore Resort in Orlando with all its perks and options for pampering VERY wealthy customers makes the Disney Deluxe Resort accommodations look inferior. Disney is fighting back by offering this Lightning Lane Premier Pass for Deluxe Resort guests ONLY, in an attempt to win customers back. Unfortunately, Disney’s greed precludes them from offering services the very wealthy want (like having a chef prepare your meals and put them in the refrigerator in your accommodations so when you come back from Disney World you can pop dinner in the oven and eat your salad while it’s cooking or having a private chef come to your place and cook for you).
I guess Disney is satisfied with just raising their prices horrendously to cover the loss in profit. The rich don’t have any problem paying for food or merchandise at Disney, so as long as they can find a hook to funnel them to a Disney resort for a few days, they’ll be happy. 🤷🏻♀️
Sorry to go on here, but I haven’t commented in years, but this has me thinking…
I resented most of the very wealthy when I worked there – and no they didn’t pay my salary – that money went right into the payments to the stockholders and bonuses for corporate heads, and I got my $8 an hour for showing up lol, to delight and make them and their offspring feel like the MK was just for them with. I couldn’t take it after 10 years and left. This new “skip the lines entirely because you’re rich” option is just further proof it’s not about inclusivity as it still mostly felt at times when I was there, and instead about getting the world’s wealthy to the parks with the dozen or two members of their entourage they are showing off their wealth to – not that they ever gave me a tip or even fanatics cards like I would get WEEKLY from the normies like me, just fake thank yous as we catered to them. It’s very interested that the hundreds of written cards and fanatics compliments I got were from regular people, not the rich. I was great at my job as my bosses told me all the time and the guests showed, but it’s hard to give all that effort for so many super wealthy people who act nice to your face but really are just being nice because you’re providing them entertainment, and would actually be nasty AF to you in a different circumstance. That is what happened to so many of my friends in Orlando with the rich throwing their weight around if anything went wrong at their respective jobs around town at hotels, shops, restaurants, and threatening to get my friends canned from their jobs in those 10 years I worked at MK. One of my few nasty guests was a woman from Ocala who got furious with me because she never would listen to what I told her to do, and so each time she didn’t listen and failed at what I instruced, she yelled more and more to the point where she started cussing in front of her little girl and everyone else’s kids – and I said another word out of you like that and I’m having security throw you out the front and I have the power to do it! She said I’ll have your job and walked away – she didn’t have a damn thing, as it turned out (as I knew I did nothing wrong) but my smile as everyone else thanked me for standing up to her! LOL
I don’t see it this way; I feel if you can afford it, then you should have some special perks. Also, with your attitude, I am glad you quit. I always pay for the quickest way onto a ride; I do not want to have to stand in a line, and since I can afford it, I pay for it; it is the same reason why I fly business class: I can afford the added luxuries at this point in my life.
Good for you awesome you can keep your entitled attitude the richest people in the world are so sad that’s why they think money brings happiness it don’t
This is VERY RIDICULOUS,PAYING all that money just to go to the parks.. specially when in Florida they don’t pay good ..plus the rent is to high..so how someone can take their children…nooo I’m not going to put my self in debt just because I want to take my grandson to the park.this have to STOP.. HOPEFULLY
That’s a lie, the wealthy republicans have children and if you are saying that republicans don’t take their children, grandchildren to Disney World is a lie from the pits of HELL just like your orange Anti-Christ leader
They shouldn’t have done that! That’s very foolish of them to stop supporting Disney. Instead, they should be fighting to change Disney for the better, just like what I’m doing right now. I’m a Republican, and I love Disney. I want to change everything at Disney back to the way they were before. Walt Disney was also a Republican, so why not fight for his sake? Instead of giving up like cowards, fight to change Disney for the better.
Absolutely a lie. You know it but you still lied. There are wealthy people whom are Democrats and Republicans. To attempt to label one side is intellectually Dishonest. My take is that Disney might want to consider that attempting to market for the rich who can afford such steep prices may eventually backfire. At some point, the wealthy will tire of visiting and move to other forms of entertainment and the average consumer whom has been priced out of visiting will have also moved to other, less expensive, forms of entertainment. Who will visit the parks then. The Average guests are the backbone of who made the parks what they are today. Remember the old saying, “Only Dance with who brought you to the dance”.
Good points! Everyday people is what built Disney. My family has been going to the Disney parks for over 50 years. Today they are not nearly as much fun as they used to be. So we found other things to do & places to go that are not so exspenive. Even universal is more affordable now…
Now hold on. You shouldn’t say those words ever. Nothing is more fun than Disney. Also, positive changes are going to happen at Disney, and my friends and I are going to be responsible for those changes. So forget about Universal! You and your family are going back to Disney for Disney is going to be more fun and less expensive. We’re going to make the prices drastically shrink to reasonable numbers. So consider going to Disney on your next vacation.
Actually do your homework.. the people who run Disney who they donated big money to in this year’s election .. got news for you it wasn’t Republicans.. it was all kamala harris , before that Biden, and before that Hillary Clinton.. just like if you look at how many billionaires donated to kamala harris Compared to trump. Almost every single rich person , celebrity also wanted kamala harris jus like Taylor swift .. sorry but the dems are not for the working man or woman anymore ..
Umm….I’m an Independent and can find huge flaws on both sides. But even I can see that the Left caters to the wealthy and the right concerns themselves with the working class.
You’re wrong! Disney is NOT virtue-signaling anything, and certainly NOT in the leftist political world anymore!
Disney is changing for the better, and you can bet your boots that this lady and her friends are going to make that happen!
And all that nonsense about getting away with almost anything unethical in the real world, what kind of ASININE talk is that?! It’s Iger who doing the unethical things, NOT Disney! Disney is a VICTIM of Iger’s incompetence and unethical crimes! But not anymore! We’re freeing Disney from Iger’s tyranny once and for all!
No one in their right mind should go to Disney, unless they are willing to pay a lot. Think about it, you pay for a regular ticket and have to WAIT LONGER because these people pay to cut in front of you… It’s glorified line cutting. We’ll, I am not going to pay $100 to get in Disney to have people cut in front of me because they paid more! Nope!
In addition, they manipulate the lines for guests to make them longer so the rich can see “value” for the extra money. Saw it myself in October when the crowds were light. No reason for the amount of time we had to wait.
Joe, that’s a Great way of looking at it. Paying to “Cut in line.” 🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼But you’re right, it’s true. I’m glad that I no longer work for the Mouse. It was getting bad back in 2007 when I last worked there for them 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I’ve just got back after my 10th visit from the UK and that’s it for me now. I know it’s the way the world is now but Disney always made me feel special. Not any more. You get what you pay for and the more money you pay the better the expertise overall. This is great for those whom money is no object but for families who work in lower paid jobs and save hard for their visit it’s hard going. No disrespect for any who still loves the place but Disney goggles are off and the upcharging is so blatant now you can see it’s all about the money and profit.
Joe your right that’s what they call entitlement because think Disney cares about families they really love the rich families isn’t it enough that they stay in hotels 500 to a 1000 bucks a night now my tickets are not honored on the same level that’s disgusting/ greed
Walt is probably turning over in his grave. He opened Disneyland for ALL families. Not just the rich. Glad I was able to enjoy it with family when I could afford it. Now even disabled people are NOT treated like we used to be. It has to be a certain disability. Will probably never go again. And I love Disney.
Wrong words to say! You are going back to Disney because things there are going to change for the better! My friends and I are going to make that happen! You and your family WILL be able to enjoy Disney and afford it, too! They will treat disabled people like you with respect again. That’s a promise.
And stop talking about Walt rolling over in his grave! I’m so tired of hearing that! Walt is not rolling over in his grave anymore, for we’re going to make things right again. That was the solemn promise I made on his grave.
Wrong words to say!!! Everyone in their right mind should be going to Disney! And nobody is going to pay a lot, not even you!
Prices are going to drastically drop down, and we’re going to make that happen! Instead of paying $100, you’ll only be paying $20 or less! So go to Disney, have fun and pay less!
We will never go back after reading about this new luxury pass. Disney World has created a sort of caste population in their parks. Most of the time it’s too hot to stand in lines for more than 15 minutes. Between parking costs, increased pricing and now this insult, we are done. Bye Disney World.
IGNORANT greedy Disney! All at the expense of the DISABLED! My wife is confined to a wheelchair with many other health problems. She was recently DENIED a DAS pass as the only way to qualify now is COGNITIVE! She has used this pass for the last 10 years! We have season passes and they will expire in a few months. BOYCOTT Disney Parks now! They are too GREEDY at the disabled expense!
You are foolish to say such asinine words!!! Disney is NOT greedy or ignorant!
It’s the higher-ups that are greedy and ignorant! But we’re changing all of that!
AND DON’T YOU EVER SAY “BOYCOTT DISNEY” EVER AGAIN!!! I’m so sick and tired of hearing that word!
Nobody is boycotting the Disney Parks because things there are going to change for the better!
Those stupid, greedy higher-ups will be gone and replaced by more reliable people like Elon Musk, and we’re going to make that happen! I know that I’m just a Disney fangirl, but I absolutely HATE it when people would just give up on Disney like spineless cowards!
I vowed on Walt’s grave that I would save his company from ruin and change everything there for the better! And I’m keeping that promise, for him and everyone else!
So bring your disabled wife to Disney on your next vacation!
She will be granted a DAS pass and all the services Disney will offer! That is my PROMISE!
Wrong words to say! Those are the most foolish words anyone could ever say about Disney!!! You ARE going back to Disney because things there are going to change for the better!
And my friends and I are going to be responsible for those positive changes! Lines will be shorter, prices will decrease, and everything will change back to the way they were before!
So forget about saying goodbye to Disney World! No “Bye Disney World” ever!
We have been customers and vacation club members for decades! Sad to see Disney continue to raise the prices just for a ride when many have already paid the price for park entrance and spent thousands just to vacation there. Democrat Corporate woke Greed that is how I view Disney, not the happiest place on earth any longer. Just bring back the fast pass distribution so we can all get a fair shot at riding the popular rides! Disney you need to change your ways and just stay neutral then maybe you can gain some respect and customer loyalty back…
Stop going on about the right or the left. This is not about politics. This is NOTHING BUT GREED on the behalf of the Disney board of executives. They have forgotten about the regular people who have scrimped & saved to take their families on a vacation to DW for memories that would last a lifetime. Now a regular average family can’t even think of going to Disney because of the outrageous prices. Again this is not about politics, just plain simple GREED!!
The Magic is gone. Disney is a former shell of the once family friendly top notch entertainment company it use to be.
I had previously taken my family there when my kids were young every couple years from 2000 – 2014. The deteriorating experiance was very noticeable by 2016 after I attended trade shows and visited the property annually. It became more costly with less value of the overall experience. That with lack of innovation and cultural change from family focused entertainment have turned my family and I to more affordable alternatives but just if not more entertaining vacation options.
It’s sad to watch. We did not quit Disney they quit us.
I’m here just to see the comments of from all the outraged people who write giant paragraphs on how outraged they are. My favorite comments are always “I will never go again,” “the magic is gone” or the Disney failed us ones, those are the people that are the most “special.” hahaha
It would be nice if these people would actually follow through and never go again. They say this….but here they are on a Disney trash-click site virtual signalling their outrage. I hope they actually stay away…I’d appreciate the shorter lines.
Hey Stevie…. Obviously you don’t know what the real Disney World was like…you know…the way Walt envisioned it. I started going as a child, literally the week the park opened, and went yearly, multiple times per year with my parents, right up to 2020 when they really started going downhill. So, Stevie….instead of running your mouth like a wise ass, maybe listen to people and why they say what they say. Run those couple little brain cells together that you hopefully have left, and use your head for more than a hat rack. Tired of you damn wise asses running your mouths but wouldn’t have the guts to say the same to people s faces.
Just checking in to see what nuggets of gold some of you people wrote today and man do they not disappoint! Thank you. And thank you for highlighting the need for increased mental health facilities in this county because boy o boy do some of you desperately need it! O and Ms. Laney, can we be honest, if given the opportunity to tell people like you to chill the f out in person do you really think I’d be afraid too? I mean come on at least I venture out in the real world.
We are DVC members and it is not just higher prices, it’s less service. Many of the perks we bought DVC are no longer available. Things that were included now cost. Rooms are no better or worse than a cheaper non-disney Hotel. Fake opulence at higher cost. Rooms are dirty. Every year I am more disappointed. Another thing, it is insane how politically diseased people have become. I meet the same number of DVC members of both parties. My tag is NoTrustInMen. It doesn’t matter there is bad in both.
If you think about it: The rich will be the majority of the ones who can afford Disney. They will go to the parks; and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them will be paying for the Lightning Lanes. Those of us who can’t afford it will, TECHNICALLY, have the shorter lines.
Of course, this doesn’t help if Disney services one-hundred people from the Lightning Lane, before servicing one person from the regular line. And then another 100 LL in order to get one more from regular.
At least we get to watch the drama of the people in Lightning Lanes fighting one another to see who is better. 🍿
STOP saying that! Hearing that just makes my skin itch uncomfortably! I HATE hearing stuff like this!
Listen WELL! Walt Disney is NOT rolling over in his grave anymore because things there are going to change for the better! I promised Walt that I would save his company from ruin and change everything there for the better, and I’m KEEPING that promise, whatever happens!
Disney is NOT going to make things harder and harder for any average family to go and have fun! We’re making things easier for everyone!
Even though I’m just a simple fangirl, I refuse to accept what is happening right now! It’s time that Disney changes for the better!
Was at Hollywood Studios Re entry. Had grandchildren. Got in line for the Barnstormer. The 55 minute schedule ended up being 1 hour and 45 minutes. The lightening line was always full, sometimes stretching to the opening of the ride. If this is a result of the new fast pass model, then they’ve just lost a long time season pass holder.
WRONG! You couldn’t be more WRONG! Disney has NOT lost its magic at all! The magic is still there, lying dormant in the parks, waiting for someone to awaken it!
And I’m going to be that someone who will awaken the magic! I’m terribly sorry to hear about how your relative has been treated, but fear not, Disney is going to change for the better, and my friends and I are going to be the ones making it happen!
Crowds will be fewer, Lightning Lane will be replaced by Fast Passes again, and the DAS rules will be easier and give many disabled people access to many rides.
I’m not exactly a Disney employee, just a simple fangirl. However, I want to change Disney for the better more than anyone.
I promise you this: When you go to Disney on your next vacation, your relative will be granted access to the rides without any hassle.
Sorry about that previous reply.😓 That was for another person.
Disney has NOT lost a long-time season pass holder! Not at all!
You and your family are going back to Disney because things there are going to change for the better! Fast Passes will return, and this time, they’re going to be staying for good! And no, I would never joke about stuff like this at all! I promised Walt that I would save his company from ruin and change everything there for the better, and I intend to fulfill that promise, come what may!
And you have my word that I’ll improve Disney for you, your family and everyone else.
I have fondness in my heart for Disney characters and stories, but I will never return to Disneyland or Disney World. The greed is absolutely obscene and I just cannot be part of it. Every day people going in to debt to pay the exorbitant prices and then their kids are crying the whole vacation because they have to wait and wait and wait while Rich people cut the line. I am boycotting Disney and all Disney parks. I will not take my grandchildren there and we will have a perfectly fine life without them. I went Knotts berry Farm the other day and there was practically no wait on the rides and I didn’t see parents yelling and screaming at their children in a desperate attempt to try to have fun or to get something for their money. Knott’s had Laughing smiling people and happy employees. Disney is NOT the happiest place on earth
You’re wrong! Knotts has got nothing on Disney! Disney IS still the Happiest Place on Earth! That is very asinine of you to say such things when positive changes are going to happen at Disney! Boycotting Disney is the most stupid mistake one could ever make! You will not have a perfectly fine life without the Disney Parks at all!
You are NOT boycotting Disney or any Disney park ever! You are going to Disney and taking your grandkids there because Disney is going to change for the better! And my friends and I are going to make those positive changes happen! Disney is NOT greedy, only its higher-ups are. But they’re going to be gone and replaced by more responsible and reliable people.
Prices will shrink, wait times will be shorter, Fast Passes will return and everyone will be happy, laughing and having fun in Disney again! So you’d better watch what you say!
We are 30 year DVC members and gave up our Annual Passes this year. It had nothing to do with the price increases and everything to do with the crowds. IMO, they are raising prices in an attempt to lower attendance which results in a more wealthy guest who will spend nearly $100 for a spirit jersey. We have decided to spend our Disney Dollars on trips to Europe and luxury cruises. We will visit Disney World maybe once a year but parks are no longer a requirement so this deluxe resort option doesn’t affect us at all.
It is already hard enough to take our children to DisneyWorld with having to spend more than one day there because no way can you enjoy it all in one day. Even buying the “Fast Pass” is not enough for some. They have made it hard to ENJOY the park and rides because you have to be on a schedule for almost everything – even meals. It is almost like children being identified as “slow learners”, “advanced “ classes, or being
“remedial “…there will be a “stigma “ on families. This will now include the type of Hotel were you stay. Why ? Why is everyone in such a hurry ? You are exhausted from your vacation when you get home.
OR is this just money and greed ? Very sad this has happened to such a magical, beautiful, unique place.
This was certainly not the dream Walt Disney envisioned.
Disney has lost its magic …huge crowds and the lightening lane make it impossible to get on the rides..also the new DAS rules leaves many disabled people unable to use the rides .
We had a family member refused it and was unable to access the rides ..we emailed disney and they never replied..spent a lot of money on a 14 day pass which was only used on the first day…
Unfortunately this has been the direction Disney has been going for quite some years now. However with Epic set to make an asteroid strike landing with all it will offer, this will give tourists a great location to divert to. Universal has always been open and inviting to the middle class. Now with its design it’s offering the thrilling rides but with theming and experiences in line with Disney. Perhaps Disney is converting to an exclusive resort offering. Maybe they feel their business plan and future needs to revamp in order to transform into a luxury resort for the wealthy in order to remain outside the competitive nature of Universal. Especially since Epic has made a tremendous jump into Disney’s arena. Just a thought.
This has nothing to do with saying it’s for a better experience. It’s all about making more money and depriving the less fortunate who can’t afford to pay this
Once again Disney has given privilege to those with deep pockets. The pricing has gone berserk. Families can not afford this, senior citizens cannot…i have been going there since the park has opened and watched the greed get bigger and bigger. Only the wealthy can afford to pay for all this. Being fast pass back and make it easier to enjoy the parks.
And consider that wish granted. Listen carefully, things at Disney are going to change for the better, and my friends and I are going to make them happen.
No, this isn’t a joke by any means. This is a real promise. Disney is not greedy, the executives are the REAL greedy ones, but they’ll be gone and replaced by responsible, generous people.
I may not be a Disney employee, but my heart goes out to every family who can’t afford a Disney vacation. But with our hard work, we’ll make sure that the pricing will shrink down to reasonable numbers and everyone will be able to afford a fun, happy and less-expensive Disney vacation! That is my promise.
I don’t know why everyone is making this such a huge deal. It’s not some money hungry ploy from Disney it’s very normal at all kinds of theme parks. I was pretty excited to hear about this new perk and was not surprised it was going to come at a premium price point, and I’m just a regular working mom not rich at all lol. Our local water park is about $40 to get in but offers an added line skip option that’s almost $80 and even more on busy weekends with high demand. That’s double the ticket price to have privilege of skipping lines, which is about the same when a Disney ticket is average $150. Do you expect they just hand them out to anybody at a regular cost? Then there would be no true lightning lane lol everyone would be doing it. If you can do it great if you can’t then don’t, and plan your day around your wait times. It’s that simple. If you don’t think you’re going to pay for luxury you obviously don’t do much lol do you complain about the price difference between economy and first class? If you can’t afford it don’t do it.
Disney is no longer the happiest place on earth. It stopped being that many years ago. It’s gone so far away from what Walt Disney planned that he must be rolling over in his grave.
I don’t know how the average family can afford to go to Disneyland these days. I think they do it to keep out, what they believe to be, the “riff-raff” unwashed general public.
I just tried to price out two days and two nights at the Disneyland Hotel (not the fancy Grand Californian) for me, my parents and my daughter (7) and the cost was unbelievable. The room rates for a standard parking lot view were 871 a night, so we can try to fit four people into one room or we are paying almost $3500 to stay at the very old Disneyland Hotel … that I love. On top of that the tickets with the regular lightening lane addition was another $1500 plus. I cannot justify the $5,000 two day trip so we are not going to go. That said, my daughter and I went alone in May and the prices were only $450 per night and we stayed two nights and had a blast. Like many Californians who only need to travel for about an hour and a half, this defined our childhood and we all want our kids to have fun. (I have found that Tom Sawyer’s Island is free and a great way to pass the time while waiting for our lighting lane passes.) Anyway we will be back, but they lost our Christmas business which likely means nothing to them, but this was likely the last time both of my folks will have the ability to go with my daughter and that makes me sad.
Wait a minute, hold on there, are you telling me that it costs more money when you go with more people that requires more or larger hotel rooms and more tickets than if you just went with 2 people, hold the phone this is HUGE news! People need to hear this. This will blow their minds!!
Not about left or right. Both have richer folks who are happy to pay.
Disney is a business. Most Theme parts now have pay to skip the line – do I like it No, will I buy this option No. But I get it.
Again they are a business it’s not about inclusivity. When Disney World was build monorail hotels were expensive for the time. Many people stayed off site and the only cheap way to stay at Disney was to camp. That was not about being inclusive.
Again I don’t like it but I don’t blame Disney.
Quiet you! How dare you bring logic and reason into this comment thread sponsored by crazy town. Seriously you don’t belong here you sound sane, I’m just here to see how down the rabbit hole some of these Mensa folks go haha
I think Walt is turning over in his grave right now. He would never have allowed prices to skyrocket like they have. It’s out of control for the week to week paycheck people. Cater to the wealthy, they may have worked hard for it!

Just shows you that if Disney virtue signals in the leftist political world, they can get away from almost anything unethical in the real world.
Earl Hamilton
Being able to get preferential treatment because you are wealthy is an attribute of the Right not the Left.
Matteo
Uh, what version of 1990s America are you living in bud?
Republicans by and large have stopped supporting the Disney brand.
Mack
That’s a lie, the wealthy republicans have children and if you are saying that republicans don’t take their children, grandchildren to Disney World is a lie from the pits of HELL just like your orange Anti-Christ leader

Karl
Well don’t you sound “special.” Dude it’s a theme park, go, don’t go, pay, don’t pay…who cares, get a life.
Cat
Good points! Everyday people is what built Disney. My family has been going to the Disney parks for over 50 years. Today they are not nearly as much fun as they used to be. So we found other things to do & places to go that are not so exspenive. Even universal is more affordable now…
Annie
Now hold on. You shouldn’t say those words ever. Nothing is more fun than Disney. Also, positive changes are going to happen at Disney, and my friends and I are going to be responsible for those changes. So forget about Universal! You and your family are going back to Disney for Disney is going to be more fun and less expensive. We’re going to make the prices drastically shrink to reasonable numbers. So consider going to Disney on your next vacation.
Jonnymac
Actually do your homework.. the people who run Disney who they donated big money to in this year’s election .. got news for you it wasn’t Republicans.. it was all kamala harris , before that Biden, and before that Hillary Clinton.. just like if you look at how many billionaires donated to kamala harris Compared to trump. Almost every single rich person , celebrity also wanted kamala harris jus like Taylor swift .. sorry but the dems are not for the working man or woman anymore ..
Mike
The left has way more wealth than the right. Most millionaires are Leftist.
Marie
Umm….I’m an Independent and can find huge flaws on both sides. But even I can see that the Left caters to the wealthy and the right concerns themselves with the working class.
Shane
I’m from the right and have been to Disney when it was affordable it was left leaning folks with the money not conservative families that simple
Myko
Easy on the tofu boi
Matt
Boy, when reality catches up to you it’s going to be a smack heard around the world…
Suzanne
Not any more.
Annie
You’re wrong! Disney is NOT virtue-signaling anything, and certainly NOT in the leftist political world anymore!
Disney is changing for the better, and you can bet your boots that this lady and her friends are going to make that happen!
And all that nonsense about getting away with almost anything unethical in the real world, what kind of ASININE talk is that?! It’s Iger who doing the unethical things, NOT Disney! Disney is a VICTIM of Iger’s incompetence and unethical crimes! But not anymore! We’re freeing Disney from Iger’s tyranny once and for all!
Joe
No one in their right mind should go to Disney, unless they are willing to pay a lot. Think about it, you pay for a regular ticket and have to WAIT LONGER because these people pay to cut in front of you… It’s glorified line cutting. We’ll, I am not going to pay $100 to get in Disney to have people cut in front of me because they paid more! Nope!
Novak
In addition, they manipulate the lines for guests to make them longer so the rich can see “value” for the extra money. Saw it myself in October when the crowds were light. No reason for the amount of time we had to wait.
DLand
Joe, that’s a Great way of looking at it. Paying to “Cut in line.” 🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼But you’re right, it’s true. I’m glad that I no longer work for the Mouse. It was getting bad back in 2007 when I last worked there for them 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Patc
I’ve just got back after my 10th visit from the UK and that’s it for me now. I know it’s the way the world is now but Disney always made me feel special. Not any more. You get what you pay for and the more money you pay the better the expertise overall. This is great for those whom money is no object but for families who work in lower paid jobs and save hard for their visit it’s hard going. No disrespect for any who still loves the place but Disney goggles are off and the upcharging is so blatant now you can see it’s all about the money and profit.
Shane
Joe your right that’s what they call entitlement because think Disney cares about families they really love the rich families isn’t it enough that they stay in hotels 500 to a 1000 bucks a night now my tickets are not honored on the same level that’s disgusting/ greed
Maryann Urban
Walt is probably turning over in his grave. He opened Disneyland for ALL families. Not just the rich. Glad I was able to enjoy it with family when I could afford it. Now even disabled people are NOT treated like we used to be. It has to be a certain disability. Will probably never go again. And I love Disney.
Annie
Wrong words to say! You are going back to Disney because things there are going to change for the better! My friends and I are going to make that happen! You and your family WILL be able to enjoy Disney and afford it, too! They will treat disabled people like you with respect again. That’s a promise.
And stop talking about Walt rolling over in his grave! I’m so tired of hearing that! Walt is not rolling over in his grave anymore, for we’re going to make things right again. That was the solemn promise I made on his grave.
Annie
Wrong words to say!!! Everyone in their right mind should be going to Disney! And nobody is going to pay a lot, not even you!
Prices are going to drastically drop down, and we’re going to make that happen! Instead of paying $100, you’ll only be paying $20 or less! So go to Disney, have fun and pay less!
Jayne
We will never go back after reading about this new luxury pass. Disney World has created a sort of caste population in their parks. Most of the time it’s too hot to stand in lines for more than 15 minutes. Between parking costs, increased pricing and now this insult, we are done. Bye Disney World.
Paul
IGNORANT greedy Disney! All at the expense of the DISABLED! My wife is confined to a wheelchair with many other health problems. She was recently DENIED a DAS pass as the only way to qualify now is COGNITIVE! She has used this pass for the last 10 years! We have season passes and they will expire in a few months. BOYCOTT Disney Parks now! They are too GREEDY at the disabled expense!
Annie
Annie
Wrong words to say! Those are the most foolish words anyone could ever say about Disney!!! You ARE going back to Disney because things there are going to change for the better!
And my friends and I are going to be responsible for those positive changes! Lines will be shorter, prices will decrease, and everything will change back to the way they were before!
So forget about saying goodbye to Disney World! No “Bye Disney World” ever!
Jim
We have been customers and vacation club members for decades! Sad to see Disney continue to raise the prices just for a ride when many have already paid the price for park entrance and spent thousands just to vacation there. Democrat Corporate woke Greed that is how I view Disney, not the happiest place on earth any longer. Just bring back the fast pass distribution so we can all get a fair shot at riding the popular rides! Disney you need to change your ways and just stay neutral then maybe you can gain some respect and customer loyalty back…
Mipooh
Stop going on about the right or the left. This is not about politics. This is NOTHING BUT GREED on the behalf of the Disney board of executives. They have forgotten about the regular people who have scrimped & saved to take their families on a vacation to DW for memories that would last a lifetime. Now a regular average family can’t even think of going to Disney because of the outrageous prices. Again this is not about politics, just plain simple GREED!!
Pete
Democrat Corporate woke Greed? Absolute MAGA NONSENSE!
JIM, Your ignorance about associative politics is uncanny.
MarcusGlen
The Magic is gone. Disney is a former shell of the once family friendly top notch entertainment company it use to be.
I had previously taken my family there when my kids were young every couple years from 2000 – 2014. The deteriorating experiance was very noticeable by 2016 after I attended trade shows and visited the property annually. It became more costly with less value of the overall experience. That with lack of innovation and cultural change from family focused entertainment have turned my family and I to more affordable alternatives but just if not more entertaining vacation options.
It’s sad to watch. We did not quit Disney they quit us.
Steve
I’m here just to see the comments of from all the outraged people who write giant paragraphs on how outraged they are. My favorite comments are always “I will never go again,” “the magic is gone” or the Disney failed us ones, those are the people that are the most “special.” hahaha
Ray
It would be nice if these people would actually follow through and never go again. They say this….but here they are on a Disney trash-click site virtual signalling their outrage. I hope they actually stay away…I’d appreciate the shorter lines.
Laney
Hey Stevie…. Obviously you don’t know what the real Disney World was like…you know…the way Walt envisioned it. I started going as a child, literally the week the park opened, and went yearly, multiple times per year with my parents, right up to 2020 when they really started going downhill. So, Stevie….instead of running your mouth like a wise ass, maybe listen to people and why they say what they say. Run those couple little brain cells together that you hopefully have left, and use your head for more than a hat rack. Tired of you damn wise asses running your mouths but wouldn’t have the guts to say the same to people s faces.
Patc
Steve you need to get a life instead of getting your kicks from reading comments from upset and angry people
Shane
Here’s a short one your cruel. People are right it is all about greed and the rich.
Steve
Just checking in to see what nuggets of gold some of you people wrote today and man do they not disappoint! Thank you. And thank you for highlighting the need for increased mental health facilities in this county because boy o boy do some of you desperately need it! O and Ms. Laney, can we be honest, if given the opportunity to tell people like you to chill the f out in person do you really think I’d be afraid too? I mean come on at least I venture out in the real world.
NoTrustInMen
We are DVC members and it is not just higher prices, it’s less service. Many of the perks we bought DVC are no longer available. Things that were included now cost. Rooms are no better or worse than a cheaper non-disney Hotel. Fake opulence at higher cost. Rooms are dirty. Every year I am more disappointed. Another thing, it is insane how politically diseased people have become. I meet the same number of DVC members of both parties. My tag is NoTrustInMen. It doesn’t matter there is bad in both.
Duffy
“This has sparked debates about whether Disney is prioritizing high-spending guests over inclusivity.
Two words: “Galactic Starcruiser”.
Prioritizing high-spending guests over inclusivity. A bad idea then and now.
Danny O.
Lynn
Why can’t “the most magical place on earth” just be equal to everyone no matter your circumstances. I’m so tired of corporate greed.
Maria
Yeah.. I wouldn’t my money on that.. I’ve been to Disney and so not impressed.. !
Michele
Disney is making it harder and harder for the average family to go and have fun. Walt is turning over in his grave.
Annie
Tom
Was at Hollywood Studios Re entry. Had grandchildren. Got in line for the Barnstormer. The 55 minute schedule ended up being 1 hour and 45 minutes. The lightening line was always full, sometimes stretching to the opening of the ride. If this is a result of the new fast pass model, then they’ve just lost a long time season pass holder.
Annie
Annie
Sorry about that previous reply.😓 That was for another person.
Disney has NOT lost a long-time season pass holder! Not at all!
You and your family are going back to Disney because things there are going to change for the better! Fast Passes will return, and this time, they’re going to be staying for good! And no, I would never joke about stuff like this at all! I promised Walt that I would save his company from ruin and change everything there for the better, and I intend to fulfill that promise, come what may!
And you have my word that I’ll improve Disney for you, your family and everyone else.
Terry
Annie
Oma
We are 30 year DVC members and gave up our Annual Passes this year. It had nothing to do with the price increases and everything to do with the crowds. IMO, they are raising prices in an attempt to lower attendance which results in a more wealthy guest who will spend nearly $100 for a spirit jersey. We have decided to spend our Disney Dollars on trips to Europe and luxury cruises. We will visit Disney World maybe once a year but parks are no longer a requirement so this deluxe resort option doesn’t affect us at all.
Nan McLeod
This was certainly not the dream Walt Disney envisioned.
overwhelemedmom
you need a vacation to recuperate from the vacation and a second job to pay it off after you over spend to make it worth your while
Taz
Disney has lost its magic …huge crowds and the lightening lane make it impossible to get on the rides..also the new DAS rules leaves many disabled people unable to use the rides .
We had a family member refused it and was unable to access the rides ..we emailed disney and they never replied..spent a lot of money on a 14 day pass which was only used on the first day…
Annie

Bob
This has nothing to do with saying it’s for a better experience. It’s all about making more money and depriving the less fortunate who can’t afford to pay this
Steffi
Once again Disney has given privilege to those with deep pockets. The pricing has gone berserk. Families can not afford this, senior citizens cannot…i have been going there since the park has opened and watched the greed get bigger and bigger. Only the wealthy can afford to pay for all this. Being fast pass back and make it easier to enjoy the parks.
Annie
Alexa
David
Disney is no longer the happiest place on earth. It stopped being that many years ago. It’s gone so far away from what Walt Disney planned that he must be rolling over in his grave.
I don’t know how the average family can afford to go to Disneyland these days. I think they do it to keep out, what they believe to be, the “riff-raff” unwashed general public.
Patti Mitchell
Stu
Wait a minute, hold on there, are you telling me that it costs more money when you go with more people that requires more or larger hotel rooms and more tickets than if you just went with 2 people, hold the phone this is HUGE news! People need to hear this. This will blow their minds!!
Barbara
How sad is this? More perks for the wealthy only! They forget the park is for kids.
Myko
Food sux

Rides are average at best
I’m still a Disney fan.
That’s why I save and book cheapest cabins on Disney cruises.
Daisy
Not about left or right. Both have richer folks who are happy to pay.
Disney is a business. Most Theme parts now have pay to skip the line – do I like it No, will I buy this option No. But I get it.
Again they are a business it’s not about inclusivity. When Disney World was build monorail hotels were expensive for the time. Many people stayed off site and the only cheap way to stay at Disney was to camp. That was not about being inclusive.
Again I don’t like it but I don’t blame Disney.
Jackie
Quiet you! How dare you bring logic and reason into this comment thread sponsored by crazy town. Seriously you don’t belong here you sound sane, I’m just here to see how down the rabbit hole some of these Mensa folks go haha
Joy
I think Walt is turning over in his grave right now. He would never have allowed prices to skyrocket like they have. It’s out of control for the week to week paycheck people. Cater to the wealthy, they may have worked hard for it!
