  1. That is ridiculous I purchase my tickets at a Military facility for my family before we go on our vacation. They are not with me when I purchase them so how are they to show ID and the children don’t have ID’s. If people are dumb enough to buy scalpers tickets instead of buying them at the gate then that should be their problem as long as they are legal tickets.

That’s a different system and as you know if you’ve done this that the service member must be present to change them to physical tickets on the first visit.

      1. Tommy

That’s a stupid rule. What if I can’t go, or certain guests can’t make it. I should be allowed to sell the ticket’s or have a different friend or family member join.

        1. Tommy

Let’s say you want to go to the Halloween event but you can’t buy tickets since a scalper bought 20 for $100 and re-sold them for $250

    2. Shaggygorilla

      It’s for the Asian parks

Shame on the Disney Company for Capitulating to CCPChina If Paris wants to fold that’s they’re business. Disney in the USA better not do this, or Disney will be seeing Massive Boycotts.

    3. Nya

      It’s only for Shanghai Disneyland.

    4. JTE

The amount of rules we have in our society were made because of criminals who find loopholes and exploit them.

  2. Candace Skurnik

This is a non issue. As a pass holders we have to scan our cards and finger print to come through the gate. Many places require you to show an ID. Most people carry their ID. Stop whining.

    1. lorraine cramer

I worked security for a long time, You wouldnt believe the people that said they dont carry ID with them , Of course I wouldnt let them in till they got it and showed it to me

    2. Nya

There’s nothing to whine about. It’s only for Shanghai Disneyland which I highly doubt the majority of people on here are going to go to.

  3. Shaggygorilla

    Does anyone read anymore

Again the rules were made for criminals that exploit loopholes. Just bring id problem solved.

  4. Rosemarie

Seriously? Be grateful you can afford to go.

  5. Shannon Aguilar

I think they do that at Knott’s berry farm already scan your id make sure it your season pass it not that horrible

  6. Shannon Aguilar

I want go Disneyland just think I post my pass sometime stole it good idea I want go I haven’t been Disneyland I long time now what I wish is that prices where back in 1982 that would be way better show if is no big deal

    1. JTE

If your income was as low as 82 they would charge that. In california minimum wage was 3.25 scents a hr. Let that sink in .

  7. Shannon Aguilar

I want go Disneyland what I would change price go back 1980 at least those prices that what hurts youch

  8. Mike Hunt

Don’t really care Disney sucks it’s way over priced

    1. lorraine cramer

especially with the new fast pass system starting by thansgiving…..Each person for that day pays an extra 400 something dollars for a pass that gets you on each ride one time………..I believe I read that they are sold out for that day……..This is on top of the regular ticket price for the day. rediculous,

      1. Nya

That’s for the “premier” pass which moves you to the front of the fast pass line and includes rides like Tron which you’d normally have to pay for separately and has reservations that run out. You can still ride by getting in the regular lines or paying the lower price for the single or multi pass. I don’t disagree that it’s ridiculous but it’s not like you have to buy it.

  9. Deborah

Instead on being on the defense, maybe they should be on the offense and ask themselves why are they scalping. Because obviously they are to EXPENSIVE!!!!!! Fix it Disney

    1. Nya

Scalpers generally charge more than the ticket price due to scarcity, not less because they’re expensive.

    2. Whatevs

The point of scalping is to sell at a higher price. I doubt they are paying full price for a ticket and selling it for less. So your comment doesn’t make sense

  10. Nya

This is only at Shanghai Disneyland people. Read the article! If you’re in Shanghai you needed a passport to get there and already have ID for yourself and your children.

  11. First off yes people can’t read like they use to. Next about the ID system is there is room to fix it real fast , if Disney decides to do it military style . Bring the proof they requested one time, Disney issues a picture ID , just like Sam’s club , Cisco, and the rest . Only this Disney ID is to use at parks and to buy tickets.
People not to worry I will not let this stroke of genius go to my head again.
I was a military kid and carried a picture ID until I turned 16 , we lived on base.

  12. Whatevs

Serious business at that disney park huh?

  13. Richard

For many years my family and I have frequented all of the parks because of the magical experience Disney used to be. Is now time to end Disney visits. It’s all about money it’s not about the experience. I’m glad I have all the memories it’s a shame that new memories cannot be made.

  14. siempre

So ultra Leftwing Disney says it is racist to ask for ID to vote but requires ID to go to Disney . Hypocrites.

  15. Mo

This going to cause havoc and longer lines. If they keep implementing ridiculous rules people will stop going. We pay hundreds of dollars for what? To act like we are in prison? Long lines, upset people, price gouging the add ons. And we also have to book in advance if we want to go to the park. Too many rules. Don’t get me started on “lighting lanes” & virtual queues.

  16. Tommy

I was the poster child, I had season passes as a single man, got married, had a child, raised him in the park, now he’s an adult and a trip to the park is the price of a typical car payment..to stand in hour plus lines..so sad Disney

  17. TruthTeller

Lmao at all the Republicans in here whining about ID requirements when they said ID’s should be required for voting to “stop the steal”.
