Disney is out pricing the backbone of their customers. The grandparents and parents of the kids that use to save up to see the Magic every couple years now can’t. These are the people that splurge on merch and movies and foods and Pixie Dust.
GO BACK TO WALT’S IDEA!
BUY ONE TICKET AND GET IN LINE.
Keep it simple. We get in line and pass the same people a couple times before we get to the ride. Meet nice people.
Now it’s arguing and disgruntled people with some who line jump. NOT A HAPPY PLACE ANYMORE. 😕
I’ve avoided Disney World due to the pricing, bad guest behavior, and the hassle of getting passes. I don’t go to stay on my phone all day.
However my husband wants to go so will be there in a couple weeks and will start saving to take my grands in a couple years…..maybe.
I agree with Lori. I’m not tech savvy. So another family member tried relentlessly on the phone to get in “ques”? for new rides. Only to be disappointed with the rides full within seconds of opening. Wasted precious family moments. Stressful. Come back in a couple years when new rides are old rides.
Go back to Buy a ticket get in line.
Don’t get me started on Annual Passes.
Let’s just go back to the ticket books with different colored tickets to coinside with” Land ” you are in. Tomorrow land etc. so much easier, merch was priced ok, nothing like it is now.
Sure glad my family went before COVID and increased greed.
No longer happiest place.
I wouldn’t pay to get on any Disney ride. Go back to the free Fast pass. It was so simple to get. Put your park ticket into the fast pass machine, the ticket comes back out with another pice of paper (the actual fast pass), and then return at the time on the fast pass to get in line and unto the attraction faster. Those were the days of simplicity and no over charging the guests for anything. Now, it’s rare to get even 3 small egg roles for less then $10.00’s.
At least Disney reacted to price complaints, even though it’s minimal. Raising prices for after-entry service to the extreme is not “Disney”. Suggestion: Drop all “fast” queues. Dump the Disney app. Charge what you charge at the gate, give people free rein to attractions. The guests eventually will sort everything out. My bet is that rage will diminish as people find out they can just enjoy the parks, even if they don’t meet their ride-per-day quota.
I long for the original Walt Disney idea. Family friendly parks. But a ticket. Get in line.
Grab a snack sit in the shade and watch the cast members/characters/ parades. Don’t forget the stage shows, always shaded and fanned.
So what Disney is saying is… after spending 1000$ a day for a family of 4 to visit parks… for 1800$ more you don’t have to wait in line. Translation: really rich people don’t have to follow rules or wait in line like the peasants. Ufb
I grew up with Disney World almost in my backyard. I’ve probably been about 20 times so far in my lifetime. Fortunately, I use to have connections and was able to usually get passes to get it to the parks.
The last time I went was over 10 years ago. I refuse to go there at all now. They have gotten to the point where they have outpriced the average family. I remember a time when a family of four could afford to go there. I remember when you could go there and get on a majority of the rides. Now it has gotten so crowded, you can be there all day and maybe do 5 rides, unless you can afford to pay for their crazy upgrades. Now all they want are the rich elites who are going to dump thousands of dollars.
It’s also gotten to the point where there are enough rude guest and spoiled kids, it is no longer enjoyable.
You have to wait in line everywhere you go. You know you have to wait in line at Disney but they want you to pay to cut the line. It’s amazing to me how many greedy people will pay to cut a line! If the people wouldn’t do it, it wouldn’t exist! Come on people grow up and wait in line. Disney is just out smarting you all. The rich are lucky they can pay to cut a line. Cutting a line should not exist at all!!
