People also criticized Walt’s version before it was even released and many assumed it would fail. They were obviously proven wrong. I’m ready to give any new film a chance and let it succeed or fail on its own merits.
Good for her. She’s immensely talented, and as a fellow Jersey girl, I’m rooting for her continued success. I hope I get to see her on Broadway over the next few months.
And this is why I look forward to the return of the old Studio System and Hollywood going back to 1939 with all movie stars under contract to the studios. Some stars like Rachel Zegler clearly needs to be reeled in to the point that her dating life is controlled by the studios. The great Louis B. Mayer and Irving Thalberg would’ve never stood for such behavior. I look forward to MGM reigning over the box office again as the dream factory where Clark Gable was the King of Hollywood and where Judy Garland skipped down the Yellow Brick Road. Mickey will bow down to Leo the Lion.
Just leave a good story alone. Why does everything have to go woke? I am not planning on seeing the film. I have no interest in losing my childhood memories of seeing Snow White.
Ahh so it’s not really Snow White then? Hey Disney could make it an off-shoot of Frozen with Snow being a cousin of Anna & Elsa. Then you could call it Fro-White??
Yes they should give it a new name to go with the new story. Why ruin the original story. Let the original stay in people’s memories. Do they know the new story won’t bring in the people($)? Keeping the Snow White name will not help when the story is not close to being the same. Disney has lost their imagination and pushed many of their loyal fans away. Sad.
Disney is never going to be able to salvage this movie by their planned release time if they don’t keep a muzzle on Zegler. She’s not helping and she’s polarizing enough as is that given some time, controversies with her would fade away enough to get the movie off the ground into the theaters. That’s all Disney’s waiting for now as it stands, but every time she opens her mouth about the role, right or wrong or whatever doesn’t matter. It pushes all the baggage back up to the front again.
This keeps up and Disney is going to have to just do a D+ release and cut their losses financially and customer good will wise.

Can’t stand her. Every time she opens her mouth more BS is spewed. I’ll never see anything she’s in!
