When I set metal detectors off entering the parks, they are so nice to me. They just go through my bags and see what it is. It usually is a glass case. Never have I had an issue!
I call this video BSing big time. This year (I no longer live in Florida) I went to Disney on 4 different days. I went twice to Epcot, once to Animal Kingdom, and once to Hollywood Studios. Not once did I have to go through any type of metal detector in the parks. Not once. So, these ladies are really BSing. The only time that I had to stop to have a Disney cop to use this paddle looking thing that was a metal detector was in Disney Springs. And that’s because of the recent idiotic people bringing in guns to that area. How stupid. They did check my bag and my parent’s bag at each park and at Disney Springs. Other than that, there was no problem at all. The Disney cops are just doing their job keeping the parks, hotels, etc, safe. That’s all. Geez!!!!!!
I think they were upset that they had spent all that money on the VIP tour and it didn’t include park tickets. I think they just walked in the park without park tickets because they felt they had spent enough on the VIP tour, and they got caught. So they were escorted out because they had no valid park tickets.
Having been on a VIP Tour at Disney World in 2022 I can only say their story has a few holes in it. To begin with, you are informed BEFORE booking your tour that tickets are separate, as a matter of fact they need to be Park Hopper tickets as you go to two different parks. Also, on a VIP Tour you are continuously guided and handled by some very nice people and you get to ride in an incredible van. They take you on a few rides, you are not on your own at any time (well, you do get to take a restroom break without anyone holding your hand). Also, the VIP Tour is more expensive than they are claiming but it is SO worth it! Their complaints do not hold any water.
