The Disney Skyliner has become a game-changer for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort. The Disney Skyliner system connects EPCOT with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and passes through the Caribbean Beach Resort, the Riviera Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort.

Each gondola can seat up to 10 passengers and is a better option than waiting for a Disney bus at the end of a long day. Guests also get great views of EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.
However, last night, the Disney Skyliner Gondola System gave guests a scare, and for the second time in less than a week, Disney guests were forced to fear for their safety.
On Saturday night, shortly after EPCOT closed and the Skyliner was at its busiest, the Caribbean Beach Skyliner Station was evacuated. The Reedy Creek Fire Department responded to the reported fire.
In a video posted on social media, guests can congregate near the Disney Skyliner station near the Caribbean Beach Resort, and the Reedy Creek Fire Department can be seen responding to the call.

However, it does not appear that there was an actual fire. Disney has not stated the incident; however, none of the major media outlets that cover Central Florida are reporting any fire on the Disney Skyliner.
This is the second time a false report has rocked Disney World in less than a week. Earlier this week, a report of the gunman and the sound of popping balloons sent guests stampeding toward the exit at the Magic Kingdom.
Walt Disney World security assessed the situation and found no gunman. Guests took to social media to show the destruction and some of the injuries incurred during the stampede.

According to the MyDisney Experience App, the Disney Skyliner Gondola system was up and running today, with all stations up and running. Luckily, no one was hurt during this evacuation, and guests could return to their Walt Disney World Resort hotels without incident.
The video was posted on X (formerly Twitter) at 9:45 on Saturday night, shortly after EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed, which means that the Disney World Skyliner would have been at peak capacity. The Skyliner has become the go-to for guests staying at one of the Disney World resorts on its route, allowing them to avoid waiting for Disney bus transportation.
However, there does not seem to be any cause for concern. It’s just another false alarm, and everyone is seemingly safe.
Have you ever been evacuated while on vacation at Walt Disney World? What was your experience like?
