Starling Sight Meets Guests of the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a timeless classic that continues to capture the hearts of audiences of all ages. This beloved film, book, and entertainment franchise, created by A.A. Milne, follows the endearing and lovable character of Winnie the Pooh as he embarks on various escapades in the Hundred Acre Wood alongside his friends Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, and Christopher Robin.

The whimsical tales of friendship, bravery, and discovery depicted in the stories have resonated with generations, making Winnie the Pooh a household name around the world. Fans of the franchise love getting to meet Pooh Bear and these other Disney characters even when the attraction breaks down and Disney Park guests get up close and personal.

One of the most captivating revelations from these evacuated guests was the tale of the haunted animatronic Tigger. The ride operators shared that Tigger must be petted each morning to ensure smooth operation. If Tigger isn’t given his morning affection, he reportedly becomes temperamental, leading to malfunctions.

On the day of the evacuation, a team member was late and didn’t pet Tigger, which, according to the team, contributed to the breakdown. In a fun twist, guests were allowed to pet Tigger as they exited the ride, adding a memorable touch to the day.

In an animated scene reminiscent of Disney World magic, Tigger, a tiger with arms outstretched and a happy expression, and Piglet, a small pig on a blue ladder, are in a dark forest. A blue tree with a lit window stands in the background as rain falls gently around them.

A Unique “Behind the Scenes” Tour

The evacuation process itself provided additional insights. If a ride vehicle gets stuck, the team uses a pressurized air tank to manually release the brake and push the cart to a more accessible location. The process, while effective, is time-consuming and can add an unexpected delay to the park experience.

The guests also shared some secrets about hidden elements of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride. Two hidden Mickeys were identified, though one, located on a clock, is not visible during normal operation and could be interpreted as a hidden Pooh instead. The other hidden Mickey, found on a “carrot” marker in the garden, is described as the smallest hidden Mickey in the park, requiring keen observation to spot.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, the guests rated their experience as a “10 out of 10” and praised the behind-the-scenes glimpse they received. They recommended that others embrace the possibility of such adventures during their visits, suggesting that the unique insights and interactions can add a special layer of magic to a Disney trip. The full report reads:

“We got stuck on Winnie The Pooh and evacuated off. Here’s the fun things we learned!

All the rides are operated entirely by college kids doing the best they can. An adult doesn’t show up unless something breaks.

There is an animatronic Tigger that haunts the ride, and the CMs operating the ride have to pet the Tigger each morning or else he’ll break it. They said one of the CMs was late getting to the park that day and didn’t pet Tigger, so I guess he got mad. They let all of us pet Tigger on our way out!

If your cart gets stuck in a “pinch point” where you cannot exit easily, they have to use a pressurized air tank to manually release the break and push your cart to a more open area so you can get off. It takes a while.

There are 2 hidden mickeys on the ride. One of them is on a clock on the wall and you literally can’t see it unless the lights are on (during normal operation it’s not even visible.) And it’s arguably a hidden Pooh, not a Mickey. The shape of the head and ears is ambiguous as to who it’s supposed to be. I think it’s Pooh. The second hidden Mickey is on the “carrot” marker in the garden and it’s the smallest hidden Mickey on any ride. It’s super tiny.

The hardest ride to evac people from is Peter Pan because you’re up in the air. They said they have to bring in the Reedy Creek fire department with ladders to get people out. The highest point on that ride is 16 feet in the air.

10 out of 10 experience. Best behind the scenes tour I’ve had at Disney. Highly recommend getting stuck on your next visit!”
