Whoever becomes the new CEO needs to be Walt like with some of Roy thrown in. Have a good head on his shoulders would not be forced to do something that Walt would not have done. Force Woke out of Disney for good to where it would again be family friendly. No alcohol at all that was a big thing for Walt. Next I know leadership will not like this at all but drop salaries for the leadership to where nobody is making in the millions of dollars per year counting bonuses. Then if this was done 2 things would happen CM’s could have a living wage & families could go and not go deep in debt! Bring back the standards that CM’s had years ago in their appearance and attitude. Do all the right things and Disney would be great again and Walt would be smiling from up above! Thats al I can think of at the moment !!
I didn’t see the posting for this job, where do I apply?
My experience a dad, a grandfather, and have love and watched disney sense the early 60’s…I know what’s wrong and I can fix it ….I’m for hire ,just say’in disney I can help..
You have this listed almost at the end (One insider said, “The new CEO needs to serve Disney’s real customer—the next generation.” The Walt Disney Company has a huge decision to make soon, which will impact the future of every Disney park, Disney+ (Disney Plus), and district employees.) Well, that would be like not seeing the forest for the trees. The fact is, Disney has forgot who their core values, the reason they are here, the whole reason Walt Disney started this. They need to remember who their main fans are. Families! They also must stop removing things at Walt Disney World parks. The amount of land that is available to add to the parks, to expand is great. Disney also must stop trying to appease everyone. You can’t. Stop changing the stories. There are there already. Come out with new ones, new movies, new attractions, new characters while you keep the old ones. Main Street USA wouldn’t exist if Walt had followed what Disney is doing now because it was past it’s time. Let’s face it, People love Disney of old, they love what he stood for and he did. We maybe advanced, however, we are more old fashioned than we let on.
I think Josh is the best choice for the company and the customers. As the article states that going outside will result in an exodus from the current upper management.
The 3 most successful CEOs of the company were creative types in Walt, Eisner, and Iger. While they may have experienced some tough times, they were successful when paired with a COO. For Walt that was Roy and for Eisner it was Frank Wells. Dana has the most creative experience and is best suited for the CEO position. However, Josh has the most operational experience so make him the COO and try to recreate the success of those pairs. While both will make millions each, their lack of experience should mean less salary than Iger meaning the company can pay both. Offer them a good performance based bonus package to supplement a lower base salary and have them earn the pay at least initially.
Every contender for the position of CEO needs to complete the Disney Traditions Training, then decide on if they want to continue to seek the position. Disney = Family entertainment for all ages. Seek people with an imagination, not the ones trying to make every special interest group happy. I’m holding out hope the company can make the correct decision and become #1 again🤞
I agree with you on whoever going thru Traditions I still have mine from 06 mine is blue for the most part and red at the binding. I wonder if they are still the same !
Why I think a high executive could live on $250K a year ! Then the excess money could pay CM’s a better wage and lower ticket prices. If you don’t you might be one of those executives !

You do realise that executive salaries have zero to do with how much the cast members are paid in the parks?

What usable land? It’s swamp. You will eventually run out and that time has come.
