I hate to see another land mark going away. Families need to go somewhere and enjoy themselves and have fun. I have many memories of six flags and the fun I had when I was younger. Hate to see six flags go away. Myself Wish six flags would stay open so generation and Families have some where to go to

Same because I didn’t even get to go there yet. Then I found out they’re closing it down like what?

Aging theme park needs to go. The latest in technology and our children’s children’s future is what is around the corner. I APPLAUD THE INVESTORS IN THIS VENTURE. I’m in Illinois and I’d even come down.
      GO GETTUM!!!

I think they should renovate the theme park give families a fun place to go together. This would bring tourist and more revenue to Mew Orleans if they would renovate the park. I think it should be reopened and let families have a place to go

  5. No Six Flags. This is my best place my favorite place

Of course the developers are excited! I’d be excited too if the taxpayers were giving me $100 million!

My statement is that Our white water park was closed down for many years after covid hit. And it hasn’t opened since then. And now we have another rise of covid happening again. So don’t you think these people of white water and six flags should just demolish the parks here in Georgia and move them else where where people can at least enjoy some fun in peace and quiet without the sounds of highways and cars making noise??

  12. Not the best place to put that park.
We get storms quite often, sometimes it’s a Hurricane!!! Demolish it….. It will just get ruined again.

Need to move it closer to the New Orleans -Baton Rouge corridor where it would have better access from many locations in the state.

It would be nice if “something” fun and inexpensive could be put in a more central location in Illinois , not Chicago, St Loius, Indianapolis. It always has to be near a huge city! Why not build something in a mid sized and economical so the lower class and middle class people can afford to go. Everyone deserves a chance to have fun and not have to worry whether they can pay the rent for the next 2 months. JMO

The one in Largo Maryland is terrible. It was the same as I went 20 years ago and not in a good way. It’s such a shame to have such an eyesore right outside the nations capital.

It could be so much better but there’s been almost zero investments in it.

Factual inaccuracy: It was a lease agreement between the city of New Orleans and Six Flags after the park went into bankruptcy as Jazzland.

In 2009 the city terminated that lease.
