While riding this ride which my ex throughly enjoyed, I began having chest pain. I was on my early 40s and had no heart health concerns. The experience scared me again and had me seeing a cardiologist as soon as I could get an appointment.
Looking back, I believe it was a panic attack. At the time I had never experienced one so I had no idea it would cause that pain.
Still, I don’t know what sort of warning could have made a difference in my decision to ride the orange track, but it needs a much more descriptive one.

Maybe they could video a few people exiting the ride and interviewing them and include some of the guests with awful experiences!

It was so bad the response was shared twice 😂

I decided to never give Disney another penny when it went woke. Ride intensity immaterial.

If you’ve left why do you keep coming back? That’s stalker behavior, it’s creepy and I hope more people like you never do come back. Stay in your little bubbles, dating your cousins, giving all your money to preachers, and never learning to get along with other people.

One day they shall go asleep and we can all go back again.

Many years ago I was going to ride space mt when it was fairly new , I kept watching it while standing in line gradually inching to the head of the line when finally I went under the rail and down and out of the building it was over before it started for me I’m sure I would have barged had I rode it

I rode Mission Space when it was new, when my husband and I did a Disney honeymoon in 2003. We both absolutely loved it. Was it intense? Sure. But I wouldn’t say it was any more intense than some of the bigger roller coasters at Six Flags. I was expecting that given the nature of the attraction, but I guess a lot of people aren’t – I think this is an information and guest organization issue rather a ride design issue.

We enjoyed it too. Did the lesser intense and the intense first go was scary but after that we loved it

So, just how many “droves” fled Epcot?

  8. Linda Camacho

    How is that torture?

I loved it, rode orange side which I thought gave an excellent experience, then rode green side less intense. Don’t go changing anything disney. If you get sick on motion rides stay away. They do post warnings. Read them.

I went on it when i visited 10 years ago. i believe the orange section so to speak. only issue i encountered was my vision was thrown off a little and my daughter did get a little sick to her stomach, but that was it. it didn’t affect the rest of my day at all.

I purposely stayed off the intense option of Mission to Mars because I knew I would get sick. My kids had a ball on it, however. Iron stomachs!

As an adult I got sick riding Animal Kingdom’s Expedition Everest. It ruined about 2 hours of my day!
