There’s good news for Disneyland fans, as the resort’s popular Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party will be returning for the holiday season. However, the party will only take place on weekends this time around.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party was offered daily in previous years but has reportedly been trimmed down due to budget cuts.

This experience is one of many live entertainment offerings at the original Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, but Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party is certainly one of the most unique.

Located at Disney California Adventure Park, Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party is a wild and riveting event that has become a favorite of Disneyland guests.

However, 2024’s event will look significantly different from previous years, with showtimes for Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party being trimmed down.

The trimmed showtimes are reportedly a result of budget cuts, with multiple changes being made to Disneyland’s lineup of live entertainment over the last few months.

Several Disneyland attractions and shows, such as Dr. Strange: Mysteries of the Mystic Arts and Club Pixar, closed months ahead of schedule due to reported budget cuts and problems within the resort’s entertainment division. These closures also follow the unionization of Disneyland cast members.

Disneyland’s entertainment lineup has received a few additions recently, most notably Deadpool, which guests can see reading bedtime stories to Wolverine or cracking jokes about The Walt Disney Company.

The wise-cracking, fourth-wall-breaking merc with a mouth was added to the resort to capitalize on the character’s popularity and promote Marvel Studios’ latest film, Deadpool & Wolverine, which hit theaters in July.

Deadpool has quickly become one of the park’s most popular live entertainment offerings, potentially hinting more casual experiences are taking priority with Disney. The character’s arrival in Disneyland also prompted controversy, with some fans feeling Deadpool’s mix of violence and adult humor doesn’t gel well with the family-friendly nature of the Disney parks.
