Literally anyone can access WDW resort pools without controls in place. Swimming pools have a design capacity beyond which filtration and water purification can’t keep up. The wrist band policy is overdue.

  2. I have been going to WDW since the mid 70’s with my family and grandchildren and we have never even thought about pool hopping. Can’t believe this is such an issue.

    1. There’s always someone out there to break the rules and be a nuisance.

And now that they have done so this happens.

Regardless, I think having a wrist band is fine and needed. It beats having to get ur key out to enter. The band makes it easy for everyone.

When we were there in June there was a full-on birthday party happening at the pool. Management of the hotel spoke with them about using the whole waterfront outdoor eating area as a party room for the pizza and cake part of the party. I’ve seen large groups but 20 kids f the same age and 5 adults was a little suspicious.

Yacht and Beach Club has used the wrist band system for years to stop outsiders from using the pool. Pool hopping is very common among visitors who frequent often. At one point it was a selling point with DVC. That we could “pool hop” to other DVC resorts during our stay.

You pay to stay at the resort of your choice; therefore people pool hopping from other resorts take space and capacity away from guests who are paying to stay there . It should be enforced .
As far as large groups – we had a group of 36 traveling together 18 months ago- of which there were 14 adults and 22 kids altogether. And we also celebrated a birthday with pizza and cake (not pool side ) but one could have looked at our group and made a (wrong) assumption .

None of this Nad behavior has anything to do with covid. It is the result of 2 of the worst generations ever, Millineals and GenZ, getting old enough to either take their own kids to the park or be taken by patents. Those 2 generations already have a history of the majority of both being violent disrespectful adult aged juveniles who are too busy trying to police others words and ideas than focusing on their own maturity. God help all prior generations who will eventually be old enough that they depend on later generations. GenXers will have to work and be self sufficient longer than any other in hopes the layer end of GenZ which polls are showing are leaning more conservative, have time to become the next generation of responsible adults

Thank you Disney for becoming more involved and strict with the dress and behavior of those in the park. Not Disney like at all! I really believe anyone disturbing or disrespecting the magical Disney atmosphere should be forced to leave immediately and never allowed to return. Keep it the most magical and happy place on earth !

They should offer Resort guests the opportunity to buy wrist bands to other resort pools so they can experience the area for knowing where they may want to go in the future.

    1. That sounds like a great idea and I bet someone in their team brought this up. I was going to say soon they will link it to your card so u can use ur wrist band for purchases like food and drinks at the pool
