I don’t think Bluey has to worry much about aging with her audience I know and see many teenagers watching Bluey, wearing Bluey merchandise, and looking forward to the upcoming new episodes.
I fear if we age Bluey too much Bluey will end up like the Rugrats All Grown Up. It would be a sad and quick end.

I feel like the comp between Rugrats and Bluey misses some important distinctions. For one, from Rugrats to All Grown Up they went from babies who couldn’t talk to being teenagers. Bluey and Bingo are young but their interactions with their parents is a core of the show whereas in Rugrats the parents were an entertaining side show. Bluey and Bingo won’t be making as big of a leap in age. On top of that I have far more confidence in Ludo to do this right than Klasky Csupo did.

No! The charm of Bluey is the fact that the kids are young and adorable. Along with Mum and Dad being the amazing parents that they are, this is what makes Bluey so heartfelt.

I’m an adult that watches this with her two kids that are under the age of 10 and I have to agree with Rain (above) and I admit that even I’m looking forward to the new episodes… I mean, let’s face it.. the Heeler girls are maturing in their own way anyway, why not show it? However, if they choose to speed up the process too much, the younger kids won’t be able to keep up as fast and maybe lose interest because they won’t understand what would be happening. Let the kids be kids.. it’s part of the only positive thing this country has anymore… (Sorry 😐)

    But hey, great post!

I really don’t think aging up bluey is a good idea. I think a lot of people want to see what happens after the sign. Like Brandy having her baby and what’s going on with rad and frisky. You jump to far ahead things can be confusing. It’s like the rugrats all grown up. The show didn’t do as well. In my opinion have bluey grow up with the show.

This one I like if you want Bluey to grow up, do it slowly kind of age with the children that are tied to the show my son is 18 months
