  1. We are going to WDW in July, because of the free meal plan with Chase Disney. Our plan is to break in the middle of the day and go back to the resort to go swimming and relax. We purchased after hours for Epcot and Studios. Expensive but might keep us from getting heat exhaustion. We are also bringing fans that mist water and wet towels.

I know how to do it. Don’t go. 🤣

This site sucks, anything to bash Disney. Now they are responsible for the weather.

Sue I agree they are always bashing Disney for everything but to blame them for 100 degree weather is a new low. Did they fail to mention they give water at every restaurant all you gotta do is ask !!! If you go during a heat wave you are taking a chance !! Time people stop blaming others for their bad decisions!!

  4. Fact finders asked Long time Disney fans and guest what they do to beat heat.
    Cloth hat to cover head
Zip lock bags for ice from machine. ( place your ice bag in hat, head cool no heat stroke)
    Wet neck scarf helps
Wear light color clothes, black asorbs heat
Sit in shade areas before jumpi g in long lines.
    Drink lots of water
Last take your time , dont rush around its not worth getting sick over.

Some parks are going to be tougher in the heat than others. AK and parts of HS are among those as there is little or no shade. As a Floridan, we know how brutal the Summer Sun gets. As one person said, might be better not to go, at this time of year. For the extra shade spots, where do you want them added?

We went the second week in May and I t was hot. We kept hydrated and found shady spots to get some relief. Toy Story land had many umbrellas and they were crowded. They could use more misting fans. We brought our own and even cat members welcomed a squirt. My only dis appointment was that ONLY the more expensive Disney hotels offered free after hours use. Of course you can pay for after hours parks. It’s expensive enough to stay on property give us all a break.

Florida is Florida. Summer is going to be brutally hot and humid. To get the most for your money go in fall or spring. October evenings are amazing at the parks and the days are in the 80s.

Funny how most people know summers in Florida are brutally hot. If you are that concerned, don’t go in summer. October – February is a great time to go to Orlando.
