A vibrant figure with blonde hair and a colorful outfit stands in front of the entrance arch to Walt Disney World, which features the park's name and slogan, "The Most Magical Place on Earth." The road beneath the arch is lined with greenery, and cars are visible.

I love Dolly I met her the year the place opened up
She is so sweet and caring ❤ about everyone that she sees i would give her park on a scale of 1 to 100
She would come to number one in my book

I’ve never been to Dollywood, and can only imagine the hospitality one would experience there. I’ve been to Tennessee a few times and have experienced that. However, I also think this has to do with Disney losing their way.

I completely agree about Disney losing their way.

I’ve been vacationing at Walt Disney World since 1976 and have gone over 50 times. My last visit was October 2019. After re-opening from the pandemic so many changes have been made and are still ongoing. Perks that were free disappeared or were put behind a pay wall. I’m used to prices being very high but current costs are not worth the value received. Since then I’ve gone to Dollywood which like any theme park isn’t cheap but the cost and value are more in line without all the hassle. I guess removing all the pain points to a Disney vacation isn’t the Disney way anymore.

I used to love visiting Disneyland and Disney World, we used to call it making memories that we knew would last a lifetime. Those days are over sadly, Disney has indeed lost their way. First time I visited Dollywood I felt welcomed. It also has something for everyone. Their pricing is in line with the experience. As a family we have changed our go to fun visit to multiple days at Dollywood and we are so happy about the switch. YFI – Dollywood Harvest Festival is the absolute best!

Florida has just turned into a hateful anti -working class state. You never hear any good or happy news about it. For me that over shadows any magic that greedy Disney tries to create.

  6. I love Disney World because of the ease of transportation from the Orlando Airport. I am going to give Dollywood a try, but upon checking there is no convenient airport to fly into and get to Dollywood unless you rent a car and are willing to drive quite a few hours. Please tell me if I am wrong and there is a convenient way to fly there from Pittsburgh, PA. Not looking forward to the 9 hour drive by car.

Trip advisor lost credibility when it listed fun spot not once but twice. I agree Dollywood is amazing but fun spot? 😂

My husband & I went to Dollywood years ago
We want to go back, we had a great time. I am 72 and my husband is 79 . We can’t wait, hoping to go this summer.
    Thank you all.
