Some big lady was blocking her view!

The TikTIkor should not have been walking backwards in a crowd, but I have seen it often in the parks and in other populated areas in general; I have done it myself. The fact she was taking a video for tiktok is irrelevant. It is something many of us do even when in a group and not even filiming a video. The lady in the electric scooter should have also been more careful, but assuming she did it intenionally, leaves out the real possibitly she, like my mother, needs the scooter at the parks but not in everyday life. Thus, it was a rental and the lady may not be very good at driving it. I remember my mother accidently hit the throttle on hers at Epcot and ran “smack over my foot” new white shoes now with a new tire tread mark. They were both wrong! It was likely unintenional on both parts and more importantly, what should be highlighted is both of their GREAT & OUTSTANDING BEHAVIOR after the “COLLISION”. They both smiled, apologized, and then apparently continued on to ENJOY THE MAGIC the rest of the day! ****They take away is simple, Be nice and enjoy the Magic the Walt brought all of us!****

Who wants to see a stuffed pork sausage in a checkered top, anyway?

I agree with you. What kind of outfit is she wearing? Or not wearing. This is no place for beach wear. Even if you are a beached whale.

If you are going to walk backyards without looking first, you get what you get. The one walking backwards without checking will always be the one in the wrong.

Don’t walk where you’re not looking. Those things don’t stop on a dot

  6. C

I back up without looking and into someone and I feel bad.

  7. PatyC

She was walking backward right into the path of the scooter. Boo hoo. Look where you are going !

  8. Disneyland is already highly congested, and adding unnecessary activities only exacerbates the issue. If you need to create content, please avoid doing so in busy areas. Remember, the park is a shared space for everyone.

ECV’s don’t move and change direction on a dime, period. People walking around them are expecting them to be able to maneuver like a regular person can to sidestep or stop as someone rushes towards them without looking.
People walk in Disney parks like they drive their cars, oblivious to whatever is around them.

Yes tik-tokers must be cautious too, however I have been hit by an elderly person on an electric scooter more than once in DL and DCA!!! the drivers of the scooters needs to be cautious of the crowds too! Respect for other’s space needs to be shown by all!

No, the people who are walking NEED to watch where they’re walking. I have neuropathy in my feet and the wife had hip surgery a few months before we went to WDW and used scooters. The people who were walking were VERY rude to us. (My opinion is it’s just East Coast attitudes, because I didn’t have as many issues at Disneyland) At one point, some woman thought it was ok to sit on my wife’s scooter! People walking who get run over by them, it’s your fault if you’re walking forward. I’m going to back up what someone else said, people walk in the parks like they drive, erratic and all over the place. Plus, they HAVE to get in front of the scooters when if they just waited a second, everything would’ve been fine. #sorrynotsorry

Let me guess the wc user is in trouble not the vloggers that must be stopped they curse out anyone in there way. And what is the wc a heard of elephants w the trampled???

  12. Deborah

She backed up into the person on the scooter, and she wasn’t trampled….drama much!! Influencers gotta go!! I have a bad knee and hip so I use a scooter sometimes and I do not having to use one, I’d rather walk but if I don’t then I can’t enjoy the park, people get really mad at scooter riders thinking they’re just lazy but that’s not always the case…be kind people!

In an unrelated cimment, I don’t understand why Disney doesn’t offer reduced tickets for senior citizens. I’m 78 & can’t go on any rides, but it would be nice to try & walk around on my bad knees to watch my grandkids m but no, I’m staying back in my timeshare.

  14. i feel people should not Tic Toke at Disney parks Because I ts not part of the magic. Not included as Disney magic.
I hope people know if i appear on Tic Tok with out my permission, i take your
phone from you and will not return it.

It was the tic tocker who should have vern more careful. Sorry she backed into the moving EV but looked like no harm no foul.
I use my personal EV to assist my trip to DL or CA Adventure, physical issues.
I swear when using my scooter I must become invisible! I do not “speed” and very respectful other walking park guests while using the EV.
BUT I’ve been walked into, walked in front of (no time to stop to avoid hitting), cut off, run over people’s feet as they push into me trying to hurry to wherever they’re going….I must be invisible!! To be fair I’ve witnessed some pretty rude people on EV’s, just as there are rude people around EV users.
EVERYONE needs to be more aware and polite🙂

My 2 cents…I’m mobility challenged; getting around by cane, wheelchair or electric scooter. People are so rude, cutting me off, cutting in front, almost running me over; sometimes I feel as if I might be tripped, possibly causing me to fall. I’m given dirty looks as if being accused of getting in their way. I don’t know if this is a California thing (I live in Northern California) or if it’s more widespread. I have found this behavior mainly at amusement parks, airports and grocery stores. But on a recent trip to New Orleans, I found people friendly, helpful and courteous.

  16. Maranda

Who actually cares?? I hate them they are annoying and it was probably her fault !! People don’t seem to realize it is crowded and ev’s and wheelchair s have a hard time getting through and people literally race to get in front of them . Not to mention the ev’s don’t have brakes .

This happens all the time. You don’t know how much till you have to be in a chair. They blame the person in the chair when many times they are in a hurry and fall over you. Fact is the content creator was only paying attention to filming and not her surroundings. She backed into the person on the scooter. Thank goodness she wasn’t on the edge of a cliff. I guess at that point everyone would blame the cliff and not her .

  18. Teddy Gingerich

Both of them share some fault. The lady on the scooter was moving at a pretty good clip, always a problem. OP should never have stepped backwards. That’s one of my biggest gripes in crowded areas. Never, never step backwards or sideways without looking. I’m not a fan of content creators in the first place, but as long as they’re not overly obnoxious, they’re tolerable.

  19. Clicky Bate

You can hear the lady on scooter say “I couldn’t stop it.”

What likely happened was the lady on the scooter couldn’t fully stop in time and swerved instead.

Both of them handled they best they could.
