That was clearly a spoof on Dora the Explorer, maybe Blue’s Clues, a bit of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. All three of those had components where they spoke directly to the kiddos watching, like Bloofy. There was nothing other than his name sounding kind of like Bluey that made me think of this being a jab at the show.

Disney’s on thin ice with a lot of us as it is with their insistence on pushing adult content into kids shows and *sobs* the fact that they’ve all but destroyed the Star Wars legacy and the fact that they insist on pandering to us poor dumb blacks by taking clearly white characters and making them black instead of actually making new content with black characters. They’ve gotten lazy and greedy
and it shows. They need to roll back into their lane and leave Bluey alone or we ride at dawn!

Clearly someone has not watched Blues Clues and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The dog was Blue, not Bluey and Pouchie was from MMC, the call out is similar to when Mickey yells “Oh Tools”.

Okay clearly someone has never even watched Bluey because this is obviously a jab at Dora the explorer… Bluey never had a talking pouch or backpack or creepily talked to the audience while taking a long pause waiting for a response….Dora did….

Dora was the first thought, back pack, back pack, back pack. I see zero Bluey mocking..we r binge watchers of Bluey and used to watch Blues clues, Dora, and Peter Rabbit (has an everything pocket just in case), I never thought Bluey, and my 12 year old never thought Bluey. I didn’t even think Bloofy was blue, thought pink like Courage the dog on cartoon network.

Shame to bring down Bluey in this article when it was clearly a crack at Dora the explorer.

I think you are completely off. I watch Bluey 24/7 and I don’t think you can be any more wrong.

I completely disagree. There was nothing other than a vaguely similar name linking that character to Bluey. Bluey does not talk to her audience. I thought it was of a stab at Blue’s Clues or Dora. Plus, I don’t feel like liking Bluey would need to be a secret given her popularity. Blue’s Clues in the other hand…
