ITM, this is the 7th this month you claimed Disney was in a panic over a log ride…

    1. Tina

Because ITM is a tabloid, not at all objective and hates Disney

I road it Friday and there were no issues. It’s a cute ride and done well. The kids that have watched the movie should like it. I wasn’t sure it had to.change, but it is a good change.

    1. Steamboat Willie

Ah yes, my favorite defunct attraction.
      Sash Mountain. 😅

      1. Spank You Very Much

LOL. Ah, that glorious day when Miss America had a wardrobe malfunction in Frontierland. I remember it well.

You only thought it was a good change you are a racist and only making a fool of yourself and lying to yourself. If you really had rode it, you were only lucky then. You wasted your breath. It was failure and was the one that is really racist because of the salt dome tower which references real slavery, which original never referenced. The bad receptions of the racist retheme reveals otherwise from your lies and delusions. Give it up and ger real.

  3. I like to think that I am even and balanced and willing to listen to both sides. The current Walt Disney Company has forgotten the past. James Franklin Baskett played the role of Uncle Remus. He was auditioning to be a voice actor for one of the animals. Disney executives were so impressed that they gave him the lead role. During Mr. Baskett’s career (up to that point) he was only in all black actor films. Segregation in films. In addition to playing Uncle Remus, he also voiced some of the animal characters. At the time of the premier, he was prohibited from seeing the premier in theaters.
Baskett defended the film and his character in it, saying, “I believe that certain groups are doing my race more harm in seeking to create dissension, than can ever possibly come out of the Song of the South.”
On March 20, 1948, Baskett received an Academy Honorary Award for his performance as Uncle Remus.
He was the first African-American male actor to earn an Academy Award. Additionally, Baskett was the last adult actor to receive an Honorary Oscar for a single performance. He was proud of his work. He was having health issues related to diabetes at the time of filming. At the end of his career, he worked on radio shows such as “Amos and Andy.” He died at 44 related to diabetes and heart failure.

      Thank you for sharing this.

Since you’re balanced and willing to listen to both sides, you’ll appreciate knowing that your comment also forgets a lot of the past, as it doesn’t mention the problematic nature of the original book that led to James Baskett’s success. Besides, changing an attraction is not necessarily a failure to acknowledge history, just as changing 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea to a Finding Nemo theme was not a failure to acknowledge the acclaim and reception the earlier film got upon its release. If the past is being forgotten, or “erased” as some melodramatic people like to say, then why are we still able to Google it and learn more?

        Until Google bans it.

        1. Steamboat Willie

It’s unlikely Google would ban anything related to SOTS. If they were to ban that on the grounds of “offensiveness,” by that logic, a lot of documented and archived history would disappear overnight…

Let’s see, we went from a cute beloved log ride to an actual salt mine where slaves worked & managed to put the only black princess in it!!??

  5. Maverick

What’s funny is that any claiming the constant downtime is a Tiana’s issue is delusional. This was always a major issue with Magic Kingdom Splash Mountain. Half of the time I would try to ride Splash Mountain, it was evading or bare minimum down for an extended period. The ride has always had bad infrastructure and programming.

  6. Rose

Serves them right. They should have left well enough alone.
Could have left that ride like it was & built something else somewhere else in the park. So tired of changes being made for the few instead of for the many! Listening Isner?

    1. Nah Shis

LOL at “Isner’ Hilarious on several levels.

    2. Nah Shis

“Eisner” left Disney almost 20 years ago.

  7. MAX

How are the influencers going to address Disney CEO Bob Iger himself getting caught saying the new ride is boring?

    1. Ozzy

      *rumored/allegedly
