I have that same Bre Rabbit. Never saw anything racist about the movie. Have they even watched it? It’s about 3 children, white and black, playing together and having Uncle Remus entertaining them with stories about the Bre animals. Does take place in the days of slavery but that is not the focus of the story. There is an Uncle Remus museum in Eatonton, GA where you can buy the movie, books and other items.

Why is the original splash mountain still in the Tokyo Disneyland?

    1. Aunt Polly

Disney does not have complete ownership of Tokyo Disneyland – they share ownership with the Oriental Land Company – so they don’t get a final say in how those parks are run.

Because the Japanese aren’t still tied up on some racism that never existed to begin with.

Lynne.. Maybe the original Splash Mountain in Tokyo has no dark meaning to them. OR just maybe there be no butthurt wanna look beyond a simple fun family ride that some minority snowflakes here in good ol’ divided America can smile and feel oh so good inside knowing the forced change for the majority. A ride that was once great, is now a ride that’s not worth waiting in line for.

      Well, actually… ☝️🤓

Splash Mountain is based on Song of the South, a film that does not say that this is a time when slavery was abolished and expects the viewer to have read the book prior. There’s also the issue on how the breakout song sounds similar to “Zip Coon,” and how, all in all, the film fecking sucks. Overall: 5.5/10, Universal did it better…

Also, who’s to say Japan isn’t also divided? Or any country for that matter? 🤨

Except Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah has no resemblance at all so some obscure minstrel song. That’s been debunked and the person who started this fake rumor went to prison for it.

Steve, Tim, whatever, you’re both the same.

Zip a duden duden duden zip a duden day

          Zip-a-dee-doo-dah zip-a-dee-ay

You’d have to be blind af the not get the comparison lol

You have no clue who’s posting under any name whatsoever. No comparison at all to Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah and authorized Disney historian Jim Korkis set the record straight with the words being as made up as Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I support the arrest of anyone who says Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah is a minstrel song and be subject to Enhanced Interrogatioin by being made to listen to the song on endless repeat like It’s A Small World until they confess the truth or go insane.

I don’t mean to sound rude but your comment saying of the “racist nature of the film” is rather offensive being if you’ve actually seen it and had a brain to notice the reality of it there is no racism featured in that film…they aren’t slaves on that farm…if you actually look the lady offers to any and all african Americans that if you want a piece of land and a job I’ll happily pay you…they were also free to come and go as they please…the film also takes place after the Civil War has come to an end…there isn’t one bit of actual racism in the film…I own a copy of it and love watching it with my family

Woke culture at it’s finest. Such ashamed Disney wants to divide people along woke lines. There was no hate in splash mountain but Tianas ride was built on it.

    1. Don't care about your opinion

Yep. The leftist elitist lwta go brandon marshmallow snowflake culture has been f’ing with a lot of atuff that they keep f’n around t they going to find out. First it was pirates that noone for 40 years had a problem with then splash mountain… Whats next? Winnie the pooh cause he don’t wear pants?

Most of us agree with you on one thing: “Don’t care about your opinion.”
