Why do you say new updates? All updates are New.

It’s all ridiculous. So many people were against this change, especially because of why it was done. Then choosing The Princess and the Frog for the new set was totally done to be PC, nothing more. They did this to kiss up. I have seen and heard so many complaints it’s ridiculous. I was at Magic Kingdom 2 days ago and was listening to people literally laugh at the ride and the changes.

It needs more characters along the bayou. Too much empty space.

I do feel bad for the Disney employees that are trying to keep up in the era of “Meh, could have been better”. Today’s society thrives on complaining, faux outrage, and unreal expectations. It’s a Small World or Space Mountain would have been torn apart by modern expectations

        Well said

When a (accurate IMHO) guest response is “this ride makes Winnie the Poo seem like Indiana Jones’ Adventure by comparison” BEADS isn’t going to cut it! Add more story, some danger…although they killed off the Shadow Man 😮…

Dump a great ride over the ridiculous modern sensitivities of a few extremists and slap a new, politically correct 3rd rate Disney movie on it, and what did you expect. Disney is tanking Star Wars and you think they will get this right?

When your only concern in creating a theme is not to offend a single person in the universe then you only create boring things.
Disney has lost all of Walt’s imagination.

      well said.

There is no controversy here at all. Tatiana’s Adventure ride is simply pathetic and the current Disney leftist management has committed a huge crime against America by canceling Walt Disney, which is what they’ve done by effectively nuking Splash Mountain.

I know the Voodoo aspect is controversial to some, but it seems a shame to me that the ride wasn’t based more on the movie. The story they created for this seems really lacking. Having Shadow Man singing “Are You Ready” on the way to the final drop would have been epically cool.

Oh here we go with the whining again…..if tou don’t like it don’t go on it, it’s really that simple

Could have said that about Splash Mountain as well. Or, any attraction they have changed for the worse so as not to offend.

        Exactly
        Very well said Nigel

Splash Mountain needed to change anyway. The youth of today didn’t care for it and they are the target audience.

        1. Steve

No it didn’t need to change and it didn’t. Splash Mountain is alive and well in the US. Who cares what kids want? Disney’s target audience is the purists and kids need to get on the purist train.

Too much negativity here. How many kids, who have ridden on the attraction, have posted negative comments? Exactly. Let’s wait until the ride has been opened to the general public and see how it is received. My guess is that the majority will find very little to complain about after trip through the bayou.

I was disappointed the bridge overlooking the drop doesn’t get splashed anymore. Not sure why they decided to do that, but I saw numerous disappointed, hot, faces that were standing there waiting for the big splash as the boat dropped.

    Beloved?..

Not really surprised. The movie was OK, not great but OK. The ride (from video & pics) seems just OK. Disney had a chance to hit it out of the park with this ride. The animatronics demonstrate that, but the wow factor doesn’t seem to exist. If Disney wanted to truly overcome the complaints & disappointment in throwing out Splash Mtn, then this ride doesn’t cut it.

Does not belong in Frontierland..bayou??Maybe New Orleans Square in Disneyland.

    Beginning to look.like 6 flags..

The ride has broken down so many times during soft opening. I was quite disappointed when riding it with the amount of darkness and open space in it ( spaces where the themeing was just trees and “fireflies” ) I didn’t think the story had any flow. Even on the ride I barely got wet and I was in the second row the people in the first row weren’t very wet either after the final drop. As a ride that opened in summer we were all looking forward to that cooling splash down and that never happened.

That’s what they get for destroying and removing our beloved Splash Mountain

If Disneyland and Disney World want to get me excited to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. They need to add much more than candles by Mama Odies cave.

I want to see more statue props including Reggie, Darnell, and Two Fingers, Lawrence and make him the new villain. Also I want there to be lady butterflies, pink flamingos, more critters including skunks, gophers working in Tiana’s garden, 3 possums hanging on a tree branch, deer and bayou bats. Also I want to hear the song “When we’re human”. Also fix the boring Princess tea party story, This story about Tiana inviting us to the party it’s too much like Alice in Wonderland or Belles Magical World or Fancy Nancy. Have more conflict added, maybe have Lawrence or to be in the ride who escaped from Paris prison and come back to America to get revenge on Naveen and Tiana who ruined his wedding to Charlotte and cause trouble to us guests and try to free the spirit of Dr. Facilier and the shadow spirits.

And finally at the big drop off I want to see Lawrence or the 3 frog hunters releasing the spirit of Dr. Facilier and the shadow spirits singing the reprise of “Friends on the other side” and show Mama Odie fighting the spirit of Dr. Facilier and when we drop off at the bottom, show the iconic tombstone of Dr. Facilier in his tombstone, then at the party it will be more worth it and show Mama Odie with a trapped spirit of Dr. Facilier.

If the Disneyland and Disney World people add those iconic scenes and props to fill in dark spaces and play “Friends on the other side reprise” at the drop off, then I’ll enjoy the ride. Also at Halloween make it a scary spooky ride. Otherwise if I try this ride out and it let’s me down, I’ll consider this the worst Disneyland ride and will ride other worst Disneyland rides, Autopia, spinning teacups and It’s a small world rides and ignore Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and hope it either improves or else get rethemed a second time to Pocahontas Around the riverbend ride which I’d rather go on instead.
