Hmmm. After this many years. I’d want to see more info on this. Seems a bit strange. When many elderly people have and do ride this, I’d want to see the actual cause of this injury.
Lets see.. Im 76..77 in 25 days and Ive been riding Space Mountain since it opened. The last time was 3 months ago. Ive been jostled far worse on a commercial aircraft. I think the problem is elsewhere
I rode Space Mountain a few decades ago and it was certainly not all that rough. Like with any roller coaster, you’re supposed to keep your head back and hands in the car and this was most likely just a freak accident or a rider being reckless. It’s quite astounding how poorly behaved riders are these days.
Nonsense from the weak generation. I have never, nor have I ever known anyone who received any type of injury on this ride. To call for it’s closure?? Again, the weak and whiny generation. Stay home, everything offends you anyway.
They are probably offended because they believe the earth is flat and they want it cancled… so Disney needs a reason to close it so they won’t seem woke..
Then they can replace it with some ride that goes with one of their woke movies so no one is offended.
No…. probably some of the wimps who move down here and complain about everything down here, did. And then try to change us instead of just moving back home. And I’m not a fan of the governor.
I throw the BS flag on this claim. I have rode on this ride for the last 40+ years and have never experienced anything close to this.
Sounds like someone is trying to get something for nothing.
Who goes on a rollercoaster and does not expect it to suddenly start and stop. It’s called trim brakes. People love to complain even though there is signs that say before you ride about these type of disclosures that people choose not to read or are trying to cash in on a Disney payday
Space Mountain has gotten rougher over the years. If you are seated in the back, it is even more noticable how rough the ride has gotten in the past few years. This is normal for coasters as part of the wear and tear. That being said, they should do a track/car update to fix the problem, as the ride is showing its age. While they are at it, Big Thunder Railroad needs its track fixed as well.

“Space Mountain” is a indoor Roller Coaster. That should make some people to think twice before riding!!!
