I think it’s great she wants to be with her husband that’s the way it should be. I have been a Dolly fan for a long time. I’ve been married 45 years to my husband and I love being his wife. So hang in there Dolly.
My Mom passed away from Alzheimers 12-29-2021. I can understand why she wants to spend what time he has left on this Earth with him. I pray everyday for a cure so others and their loved ones don’t have to suffer. God bless you and your husband.
God Bless Dolly! I’ve always loved you! You have been a great inspiration to me all my life! My prayers are with you and Carl! Angel’s be with you forever and ever Amen! Much love from Cowtown! Bev
I love Dolly Parton as a singer and an actress. I have the upmost respect for and admiration for her deciding to stay home with her husband during his illness. Alzheimer is a cruel disease, we went through it with my Mama, and it’s like you lose them twice, during the disease and at death. Love and prayers for Dolly and Carl. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️
Dolly was a role model for this little country girl from the mountains of east KY. She showed us that our people could do anything we set our minds too. As time went on she showed women how to be a faithful wife and also have Hollywood glam. Dollys true gift was that amazing voice and her song writing abilities. Her songs told stories of real life, and real love. My prayers will be with her and Carl and as always my respect and admiration for a God gifted lady.
Please, please, please take him off of any statin drugs he may be taking. There is more and more evidence that these drugs are destroying the brains of our loved ones. Some people see an improvement in as little as 2 or 3 days. I hope this helps. Wishing you the best dear Dolly and Carl. May this be the miracle you have been praying for.
I got to see her and Kenny perform in New Orleans. Wonderful! She is so tiny and beautiful. I was country when country wasn’t cool! Love and prayers to both.
I wish you the best Dolly. I know what your going through. My grandma had and my dad had it. But most importantly take time for yourself it can take its time on you as well. Sending prayers 🙏
Dolly, I’ve been a fan of yours since I first heard you sing when I was a very little girl about 5 or 6 yrs old. You have always been very respectful to others and you never disrespected yourself during your career. You are a true role model. I just took care of my mama during the last 6 and a half years while she had Alzheimers. She died last year. Please take and spend every moment you have left with Carl. Holding onto every memory, every hug and telling him how much you love him. Even tho he might not be able to understand you, the Lord will show him how much you loved him. May God give you strength, refill your faith every day and bring you the peace that passes all understanding and during the hardest of times may the Lord hold you in His arms. God bless you and Carl. My prayers are with you both.
My hubby and I saw Dolly in person at a small venue 45 years ago at Davenport, Iowa, at the Palmer chiropractic school. We instantly became fans. She was great!
Dolly, I lost my husband of 54 years to Alzheimer’s in October of 2022. I am so thankful I gave up my career of teaching to spend his last six year together! It is so hard to walk this path with them, but love compels you to do it. You will be so glad one day that you did. You will both be in my prayers!
I wish you love and strength. The disease requires both. It’s a hard row to hoe. Take time as needed, for yourself. Even 10 quiet minutes helps. I hurt for what you will go through. I’ve been there. My dad. 5 years ago, he passed, on May 1, 2019. Stay strong! 💜💜💜💜
Dolly, you are beautiful inside and out. Your giving nature will be Carl Dean’s blessing!! Take care of yourself as you have millions of others. God be with you and your loved ones.

Dear Dolly…sounds really good, doesn’t it?!?! Dear Dolly, give Carl 2 tablespoons of extra virgin cold pressed organic coconut oil in his breakfast cereal every morning! And look up the documentary about the dr who did this for her husband everyday for a year, and then had him retested. Worth the try!!! Nothing to loose, everything to gain. God Bless You.

In about 1966-67, the Porter Wagoner show was appearing in Kingsport, TN in an outdoor setting.. Wife and I went and sat in the grass close to the stage. All was good until an unknown Dolly came on. She was dynamic and I remember thinking “this is most beautiful woman ever”. 60 years later “I have never seen a more beautiful woman than I did that day”. A talented, lively, American treasure 😍
Hang in there honey cuz it’s going to be a hard rough ride! You have done so much an very proud of you! I will be married 59 yrs next month been together since junior year of high school
I have great respect for someone that will stay home and take care of a loved one with Alzheimer. Especially someone that is a music icon and could hire this done. I pray for her and her husband. I just lost my mother back in December of 2023 to the same disease. It is not easy to endure this disease and I miss my mother terribly. With love, take care Ms Dolly
Dolly, you are the most loving, caring, genuine, and unselfish person I have ever seen. You deserve love, peace, and privacy with your husband, your Long Time Love. I pray for him, but I also pray for you, that God will continue to watch over both of you at this sensitive time in your life’s. May your time together be special, loving, and kind. Dolly remember to take time for yourself, for at times this road will be hard to travel and you are so unselfish and sensitive, you must take time to adjust and heal as well. Please take care of yourself. Prayers and Love to you Dolly and your husband.
Met Dolly at Fan Fair, years ago. Had she and my husband took pictures of them. She was so nice and friendly. As she never changed through the years. Larry and Louanba Booth ,Liberty Indiana. Have the picture blown up an hangings on the wall. Understand her having to call things off. As we get older,we share a common bond with older people now. She has a great humor.
9 to 5. Tell you what Dabney Coleman was no slouch in that movie either though. So hubby developed dementia? Didn’t know that. So sad. I lost my spouse to it in 2019. She regressed all the way back to babyhood. Horrible disease.
I have been a fan of Dolly since I was a little girl I just turned 50 my dad always wanted to marry her. I will be praying for you and your husband and I wish you all the best. And enjoy the rest of the time you have together. Dolly Parton you are a wonderful woman for staying and taking care of your husband. Wish I would have had a chance to meet you.
I have always been a fan and admirer of Dolly since the days of her time with Porter Wagoner. Even more so now since she has decided that her husband comes first which is how it should be. My own husband died from dementia/Alzheimer’s 12/12/2023 so I understand what she is now going through. All the best to you Dolly and Carl in your fight against this horrible disease.
My prayers are with you Dolly and Carl! My favorites are when Dolly sang with a few Christian artists. I can almost always know when I hear Dolly singing on the radio or Spotify. Praying you have a very blessed year with your family.
