  1. I hope the new Disney version is cancelled altogether. Nobody wants to see a warrior Snow White more interested in being Queen than True Love. Sounds utterly miserable.

    1. Shirley Rill

Totally agree! Ziegler in as Snow White at all is no longer what I want to see – she’s in then I’m out!

  2. Jacob Allen

I want a Disney live action version of Snow White that stays true to the original animated film from 1937.

  3. Amy

Totally ruined it. Disney are not going to make any profit on this at all. Ruining many things, The new CEOs need to learn if its not broke don’t fix it. All they are interested in is money. They couldn’t give a shit about the fans, walt would definitely be turning in his grave.

  4. John

Good for the Daily Wire. I hope Disney rots for what they have done to entertainment.

    1. Oh no! Those Columbus buttkissers and racists deserve no praise!

  5. Nicole

I’m an avid Disney fan grew up on all their movies and cartoons shows, i love getting to share that with my kids. I was so excited when they started making live action versions of our favorite classics, my favorite being the beauty and the beast. It was so wonderful to see it loom so real, that they combined the original story with the Disney one was amazing. Now though I have to watch these movies before watching them with my children. I didn’t sign up for no woke agenda being shoved down my kids throats. These movies and shows should be about that.

    1. Amber

Totally, I loved beauty and the beast I also loved that they made the village forget about the prince, it never made sense to me that the village didn’t know about him. I’m glad they kept it close to the original not like this woke crap they pump out

      1. Disney needs to stop making live action movies of the animated movies. Show respect to the past and leave them alone! If there is some particularly offensive scene, than leave it out, but otherwise, leave them alone. Stop ruining the magic of Disney, and stop making things completely unaffordable for the average family!

  6. Dan Richards

Disney needs to just permanently shelve the show and take the loss and learn from it. I doubt they will though.

  7. Dutch

Quit with the live action remakes!!! They are all the same stories as the originals. Come up with something new Disney. But, Iger says they are “IP mining.”. Pathetic.

    1. Frank

No mention of Zegler clearly not liking the original story so she said it was about her being a leader instead since girl boss movies do so well.

  8. James

Oh Nicole, you poor thing. I am so sorry that not casting a white person in a fake make-believe movie upsets you so much. You snow flake people and your fake outrage over anything non white is comical and sad. I feel sad for your children.

  9. SnowWhiteRemakeIsRubbish

Reason of name called “Snow white” because of the skin being white as Snow. That’s like putting white person in Princess and the Frog or something. Like wtf

Also ruining How to train your dragon live action movie. Because most vikings are white back in day and as its my ancestor, that’s insulting.

  10. Jesus

First of all, the movie can’t be shelved because it is in a extensive post production and was already shot. Also, those videos on Youtube of Brett and Rachel are fake news lol and people believe it lol

  11. Cheryl

Folks, the word is modern. Not “woke”. Meaning women are so much more than waiting for a Prince to come rescue them.

    1. Pat

The term might be modern but it’s not my cup of tea. To remove the dwarves and the love story greatly minimises the original story. If they are going to change it that much, create your own story. Leave our beloved classics alone.

    2. As a married woman I see the expectations and “requirements” of my single friends and modern women don’t want a prince they want a bank account with a closed mouth. And Disney along with Hollyweird try and instill thoughts like that along with the ludicrous idea that men are worthless and useless especially when it concerns White men like my husband

    3. Kat

You could interpret “woke” as the modern version of older problems, but you can be modern and not woke. You can also portray a woman as a complex person with many desires and still keep the essence of the love story. The Daily Wire is doing a modern fairy tale, Disney is doing a woke fairy tale.

  12. Peter

Why do we have to keep changing history!!! Dam woke people. You can change history! Stop trying to erase it!!!

  13. Adam Wolf

Why is Alfred E Neuman from Mad magazine on her right ?

  14. C ward

Just give it bloody chance stop living in the past man

    1. Jesus

First of all, the movie can’t be shelved because it is a extensive post production and is shot already and those videos of Brett and Rachel are fake news of incels crying because they ruined their childhood

  15. Eric

Fortinately I have all the original disney films on vhs that I can get transfered to dvd/digital. They have plenty of new movoes that features women or girls as the warrior (not waiting on prince charming). Just leave the old movies alone and focus on new ones if you want to portray a new perspective, getting rid of classics or changing them is just bad business.

    1. Lysistrata

Who’s changing the old movies? Did you even read the article?

  16. AH

“Financially, Disney faces a substantial challenge, needing to generate over $340 million at the box office just to break even.” more like 700 million at the box office because the theater chains get half the box office. It will be a total bomb and the best thing Iger can do is to can the thing and shelf what is done.

  17. What is “woke”?
“Woke” is an adjective that means being aware of and attentive to important social and societal issues, especially those related to racial and social justice. It originated in African American Vernacular English (AAVE) and originally meant being alert to racial prejudice and discrimination. In the 2010s, the term came to encompass a broader awareness of social inequalities like sexism, racial injustice, and denial of LGBT rights. In mainstream use, “woke” can also more generally describe someone or something as being “with it”.
Our civilization has evolved. We understand more now than we did 100 years ago. You can’t deny our evolution.

I am 67 years old and have seen the evolution of our civilization.
We are not the same as we were in 1960.
People evolve as we understand more.
Don’t fear change, it is our future.

    1. Steve

There is no future. There is also no such thing as systemic injustice in the United States. Humans cannot go any further and go backwards now. Walt Disney gave the names of woke employees to the HUAC and ended their careers.
