Absolutely gutted as we’re there in August 2025 and it’s a must-do for us! I always find it incredible that a whole estate of new houses can be built in the same time frame it takes Disney to ‘refurbish’ one attraction.
Disney just can’t help themselves, first Splash Mountain, now Big Thunder Railroad. Have spent $100’sK over the years at WDW. We’ve since found other beautiful places to vacation in the USA that are not woke and money gouging. Good luck Disney.

I mean, the ride is over 40 years old and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’s most extensive refurbishment was over ten years ago, in 2012.
Also, to be fair, Steel Vengeance took a bit longer to have RMC retrack it, so…
