This ride was not designed to be Tiana’s attraction. It was designed to be Splash Mountain. It has been destroyed and retro fitted by Woke activist. Just because you have pink hair doesn’t make you an imaginere.
I agree wholeheartedly, and I predict that this ride is going to be a financial disaster forBe a financial disaster for disney, which will be very well deserved based on how they’ve raped Walt’s dream.
However, what they’re doing to the Magic Kingdom is Criminal, because they’re robbing posterity of the opportunity to see the excellent treasure of the heart of the man Walt Disney. They’re ignoring Walt, who is the only reason why Disney World has been so incredibly successful, and there kidnapping his legacy for the purpose of promoting their agenda.
They have lamely used the excuse of inclusivity, but there was nothing exclusive about splash mountain. It was not even based on song of the south, but rather on the Uncle Remus stories and characters, with any even remote reference to Song of the South having been removed for the purpose of inclusivity. I have never heard an African-American complain about Splash Mountain, ever in my life. This was just a lame excuse by the woke Millennials and liberal profiteers who now control Disney to remove yet another beautiful reminder of how wonderful the man, Walt Disney, was. What they’ve done is disgraceful, and the fact that they’re trying to charge $60 additional fee to their already ridiculous admission price, is just preposterous. It’s insane. And their work isn’t even good. Woke storytelling is extremely boring at best, and really very lame. It has zero charm and, held next to the treasure and brilliance of the storytelling of Walt Disney, is like comparing a slum to a shining city on a hill. Fancy state-of-the-art animatronics can never, and will never, make up for poor storytelling that comes from a backslidden society that so wrongly flatters Itself by calling itself “woke.” And there wasn’t even a need for it as Splash Mountain was still extremely popular and profitable. Removing it was plain stupid and grounds for immediately and instantly removing everyone involved from employment at Disney. If they didn’t learn from their totally failed Star Wars hotel, they must be blind.
I will not even be attending, let alone paying $60 on top of the $180 entrance fee, to see This Disaster.
I can already tell you what’s going to happen. The animatronics will be state-of-the-art, but they will never make up for, and can never make up for, the failed storytelling that comes from the woke society that is sadly now Disney. In a word, At best, it’s going to be very boring.
Why could they make Tron? They could make Tron because it’s a roller coaster with lights and no storytelling.. But . But Disney is that is what’s made it so spectacular above all other theme parks anywhere in the world, and the woke mob that is now taking over Disney is robbing it from us. If I were Walt Disney come back today, I would immediately fire every one of them, Have them escorted off the property, and I would have Splash Mountain completely restored, perhaps with a few updated animatronics, and then I would apologize to the world for allowing those people to destroy Walt Disney’s park. I feel certain that that’s what Walt would do, and I also feel certain that Roy Disney would never have allowed this because he knew that what would never have wanted it.
There were absolutely 0 available days during the preview for passholders from the moment I received the email from Disney, 0. In other words, they sent me an email suggesting I can take advantage of the passholder preview days, yet there were none to begin with from the moment I was given the information for said passholder preview. Classy Disney
I had the same thing happen for Tron, and Galaxy’s Edge. I haven’t ever been on those and won’t be going on this woke ride either not one I will ever ride. Offering AP’s these but not having any available is a joke and then wanting additional monies for this please!
I’ve noticed this same kind of stupidity in sales of Disney Music. The latest soundtrack release for Dial of Destiny was a limited release but was not made public until all available copies had been pre-purchased. They tried to sell me on streaming (which I refuse to use) of LP format (which is impossible to use in a vehicle). They finally secured additional copies that I was able to get one of, but the damage has been done. After a very poor experience at Disneyland in 2023, compared to my last visit in 2018 (when Splash Mountain was still alive), my wife and I are considering not returning. The costs are asinine with Genie + and certain rides you are expected to pay more for break down constantly (Rise of the Resistance, anyone?). I do not support the retheme of Splash though I would’ve supported Tiana getting her own ride and/or restaurant somewhere within the park. Chapek especially, and to some extent Iger, have ruined the park experiences and made reckless decisions focusing on streaming (just saw an article on HUGE losses at Disney +). Next time we go to CA, we will focus on San Diego’s animal attractions (both the wife and I LOVE THESE!), and probably Universal Studios Hollywood. As far as FL we will also stick to animal attractions in both Orlando and Tampa.

Meh – mediocre movie mediocre attraction. There was nothing controversial about Song of the South. If there was then let me be offended by Tiana – a black princess in New Orleans – I’m sooooo offended – now are you going to replace it. Nope. Disney is lost and with the potential of D Amaro taking over it will be more of the same – rubbish.

60 dollars! No thanks I don’t want to take a chance and find out if it’s better than Splash Mountain for that heavy amount.
