    Im confused.
What release got scrapped? Which plans shifted?

The title has very little to do with the actual article.
Kraven got delayed for four months, which is completely normal for cinema.

That’s it. Nothing scrapped or shifted. Unless there is a mysterious paragraph that I somehow missed.

I came to the comment section to say this exactly 😆

I was looking forward to seeing this movie and now it’s been delayed a second time. I will remain optimistic. The cast inspires confidence and Kraven is my favorite Spider-Man foe.

Being a fan of Marvel comics, and their characters, I feel Sony doesn’t know, or give a crap about the source material. They take the characters they can use, put their own spin on them, and create what they think will draw a younger audience. Again not caring about the older, more hard core fan base like myself. I saw it happening originally with The Amazing Spider-Man movies. I didn’t like Garfield as Peter. He was too handsome, not dorky enough. He was a better Spider-Man than Peter Parker. Tobey before him was a better Peter, and Spider-Man. Sam did great on the first 2 movies. I think the 3rd movie they tried to cram too much into the movie and didn’t give enough backstory on Venom and Eddie, then threw Sandman in there to be the “heart” of the movie.

The Venom movies were ok, but not great. He needs the big white spider on his chest, but im sure they cant use it for obvious reasons. I have had no desire to watch Morbius, I don’t think I ever read a comic he was in, so to me he’s not even main villain material. Same with Madam Web. Plus she’s an old lady. Nothing like the movie character. Prime example of not sticking to source material. Also look at the success of the live action One Piece. The creator gave final say on what went in the show, and look how that turned out. I bet Sony didn’t even consult Marvel on anything they did.

When they announced a Kraven movie, I just rolled my eyes. Kraven is a main villain, but Sony doesn’t have the knowledge or know how to bring him to life properly. They’re only losing money on these characters because they can’t do them right. Like Fox and the Fantastic Four reboot. They should just give up, and let the rights go back to Marvel where they have a much better chance of being used properly.

Rhino not being a dude in a suit is probly the dumbest way to distort the character, I personally have always liked the character and the fact that he was trapped in the suit added a reason to feel for him in his many comic book appearances and is often seen good in the modern era of comics. Making him another shape Shifter character next to the hulk and such is a huge stretch away from the source material. Like cool maybe he could have a warthog Sidekick and maybe name changes as well Rocksteady and Bebop ooooh and while we at it why not throw some teenage mutant ninja turtles to help Kraven…
