The Disney theme parks are some of the most popular and iconic vacation destinations on Earth, featuring a wide variety of classic rides and thrilling attractions, as well as stunning theming and impeccable attention to detail. This translates over to The Walt Disney Company’s long list of hotels and resorts guests can stay at during their trip, from budget-friendly options like Disney’s Pop Century to luxurious options such as Disney’s Grand Floridian and Grand Californian Resorts. However, a crucial part of a Disney vacation is transportation, as guests will be traveling dozens of miles during their trip.

There are a variety of ways guests can navigate the Disney theme parks, with the Walt Disney World Resort alone featuring bus, Monorail, Skyliner, and Ferry services for guests.

Transportation is key during a Disney theme park trip, and there are quite a lot of options when it comes to traveling at Disney. Unfortunately, Dissney’s iconic Monorail service was shut down this morning, resulting in a hectic and chaotic morning for thousands of guests.

Disney Monorail Suspended

Much like the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan also features a Monorail as a form of transportation. The Disney Resort Line provides guests with transportation between JR Maihama Station and major destinations within the Resort itself.

However, social media was flooded with videos showing an incredibly hectic and congested Monorail station this morning. One video from @hokuto_disney13 states that the Resort Line was suspended early this morning, resulting in a major delay for thousands of guests.

It’s unclear why the Disney Resort Line was suspended, but it definitely had a major impact on a lot of guests’ trips this morning. As previously mentioned, the Monorail is one of many ways guests can navigate the Disney theme parks, with buses and other options available for visitors.

The Tokyo Disney Resort is often considered one of the best Disney Resorts around the world, featuring incredible rides and attractions as well as stunning scenery and theming. This summer, the resort’s version of Space Mountain will close permanently to make way for a brand-new version of the iconic roller coaster. Space Mountain, as fans know will close in July 2024, allowing crews to get to work on the next evolution of this space coaster. The revamped Space Mountain is one part of the project, with Tokyo Disney’s Tomorrowland being redesigned as well. The project is expected to take several years and will cost hundreds of millions of dollars.
