I am a huge fan of Johnny Depp. I agree 100% that he made Captain Jack Sparrow. I have always loved how versatile of an actor that he is. I have followed his career ever since I watched 21 Jump Street reruns (since I was only 5 when it first aired) I wouldn’t watch future POTC movies if he wasn’t in it. In my opinion they couldn’t have gotten a better actor to play Captain Jack Sparrow from the start.
POTC is nothing without Johnny Depp. If he is not the star of the 6th installment, I won’t see it. And to tease a reboot and new story line for a full on Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow for a 7th release, is just a trap to get you to go see the 6th. Ain’t happening! Johnny Depp is the only one who can play Captain Jack Sparrow. If Disney doesn’t make this right, I won’t be back to their parks where, by the way, they have Johnny Depp look-a-likes portraying him just outside of the ride. And forget about purchasing any merchandise or seeing any other Disney movies, unless of course Johnny Depp is in them. He is a phenomenal actor who outshines most actors with his wide range of characters he’s played so convincingly. If Disney does not want to make a POTC 6 without JOHNNY, then they should rename the entire movie. It is not possible to remotely make a POTC movie without the nuanced performance of JOHNNY DEPP, as Captain Jack Sparrow.
If you don’t have Johnny Depp playing Captain Jack Sparrow you WILL NOT HAVE any kind of turn out to watch POTC. Johnny’s character is what made the movie. You will never have another actor to do what he has done for the franchise. You need to get him back to the movie no matter what it will take. I am a huge fan of Johnny Depp. I agree 100% that he made Captain Jack Sparrow. I have always loved how versatile of an actor that he is. Even if it’s another storyline not about Jack Sparrow, it doesn’t matter. They helped that LIAR try to destroy him. Even though I would love to see him in another Pirates, I don’t blame him for refusing, even if they give a public apology!!! They helped drag one of their beloved character actors through the mud!
