If Johnny doesn’t return, they may as well write off a sixth movie/reboot. It’s one thing to do a reboot when a cast member has said goodbye to their character as it’s the right time, however, Johnny was unfairly treated based on manipulation and false accusations. Disney should have waited it out before making their decision, instead they jumped the gun and lost one of their best actors.

I won’t go to see it at the cinema, and since you stopped releasing DVDs/BluRay’s in Australia I wouldn’t even be buying the disc for my collection. There is, but you and all the other fans don’t WANT to see it. But that’s doesn’t mean that’s the end of things. The ride didn’t feature Capt. Jack originally, and it still existed, so logically speaking, it will can exist in the movie form. Simple.

They are just wasting their money again because JD fans will probably boycott the film. I certainly won’t go and watch a potc film that hasn’t got JD in it and I’m sure there are going to be thousands that won’t go either. Like the comment above says it’s not a POTC without JD, it’s just a poor attempt of a pirate film.

Well, all I have to say is basically the same as many say anyway, Pirates of the Caribbean would not go far without Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow!!!! He made the movie what it is today and I feel that it would not be as popular today if he was not in it!!!
What Disney did to him because of the trial was 100% WRONG!!! It is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but both Disney and WB decided to do guilty until proven innocent!!!

Johnny Depp’s portrayal of Capt. Jack Sparrow made the POTC movies the hits they were. Yes there were good story lines other than Jack’s, but they wouldn’t have carried the movies alone. Making another POTC movie without Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow would be a mistake. I don’t see it being received very well. I won’t go to see it at the cinema, and since you stopped releasing DVDs/BluRay’s in Australia I wouldn’t even be buying the disc for my collection. I probably won’t even be able to afford Disney+ by then, going on the increase this year alone, so I won’t see it there either.
