I agree it’s suspicious. But sadly quality of employee isn’t great anymore in general. Disney included. It has been mostly better recently at the resorts as I’ve noticed, but there are still the lazy ones and some that simply shouldn’t be working in their position. (Some not fit for customer service etc….) Yet they remain.
Well, this happened in a smiliar situation, but during the day. The accident happened in 2006, when they refurbished the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction with adding a few audio animatronic figures such as Captain Jack Sparrow, Captainn Barbossa and the scene with Davy Jones with the mist before you enter the scene where Barbossa’s voice is being heard on the ship with cannonballs. We got the to scene where the mayor was in the well, and the ride stopped. We trapped on the ride for hours. The ride had mechanical problems during the ride’s opening week, and it was so crowded.
We would be walking out of there. That’s unacceptable. We have a special needs child and physical health issues in the family, to where we would need to be off that ride within 20 minutes. It’s part of why we go to Disney vs going camping etc.
I was there at 930 pm on the that day. Time out at 930 pm. All went out of Disneyland at 10 pm. Crew were working after all of out. This guest abandoned on Space Mountain, trapped overnight, is a lie!
I’ve been stuck on Space Mountain after closing before. We were at the very top and had to wait for a cast member to help us out and walk us down. There was no way these people were stuck overnight. Such b.s.
We got stuck in one of the Star Wars vehicles for 2.5 hours while they tried to open the hatch to let us out. People were cracking some funny jokes at the imagineers’ expense. It was hot though… one passenger said it was a new twist – A star wars adventure with a sauna finale.
Former CM, sorry to say, but that it’s not possible. The procedure it’s to try and resart the ride, it Takes about 15m, if it’s not possible the door will open and guests will be let out. The maximum someone can be stuck at Star Wars it’s about 20m
You just made me think it’s more likely. Lol 🤣 How long ago was that? Now they don’t hire like they used to. It used to be an honor to work for Disney. Doesn’t seem like they really worry about quality over DEI anymore. My family are local passholders.
We’ve seen plenty happen in the past few years that we never thought would be acceptable to the Disney brand, but here we are. Hopefully this story is embellished. Lots of these are on this site….but it’s possible it’s true.
We were stuck on It’s a Small World at closing time. There were two boats stuck. Finally, one of the guys got off, and walked out. There were no cast members in the area, but a cashier in the little shop as you exit the ride. He yelled at her that we were stuck. All of a sudden, cast members came running over to the ride to get us off. We stopped at the little complaint office. The cast manager was called up to talk to us because the person all of us were complaining to didn’t believe us. The cast manager said that it didn’t happen. We were all shaking our head like WTH?!! We didn’t know the people who were complaining with us either. And the bad thing was, we had someone on the ride with a wheelchair. So much for being an Annual Pass Holder. We’ve also gotten stuck on Splash Mountain right at the very moment you would drop down the fall. We had to be escorted through the ride and back lots. And we got stuck on Space Mountain. They turned the lights on but finally got the ride started again.
I wish I didn’t read that. Lol 🙈 I believe you sadly, the quality of employee is down hard. This is what happens when you trade loyal people who care but want a livable wage vs DEI hires.
I used to love Splash as a kid, for the drops. But as an adult with a special needs son it scares me. It’s not a very safe ride really….they should’ve updated the safety a long time ago. You’d hope with the recent updates but probably not. I can’t imagine being stuck at the top and trying to keep my son calm and sitting for long. 🥺😥 One of the last times he was getting upset when we got stuck and it was so slippery, he fell back down but it hurt both of us.
Plus the recent issues with how long they had the druggie naked on Small World …and other things happening….more crime in the parking garage that we pay out the nose for. People are ignorant to think being forgotten on a ride couldn’t happen.
I just watched the Tic Tok and in the comments the OP said they were stuck on the ride for about 30 minutes and an operator came and got them out at 11:45.
My 7 year old daughter and I were stuck on Big Thunder at WDW at the exact incline where the water drips down. Over 15 minutes of continuous water torture before they walked us off. They gave us a slip to go to the main gift store on main st to pick out new dry clothes!
Shoddy reporting. Left on their own, overnight?? I don’t think so. Where is the resolution in the reporting? All we have is TikTok complaint. Where’s the followup? Where’s the Disney response? When did they get off? How? Just some laxy perdon expsnding on a Single tiktok.
Ex-cast member here. We move all the vehicles to a loading area. Unlock everything and do a walkthrough before close. I don’t know where this overnight bs comes from.
Comments for Guests Abandoned on Space Mountain, Trapped Overnight
Bri
I find it hard to believe that they were abandoned on the ride. They have staff who walk the rides every night and staff that do repairs at night.
Bobby Hill
3rd shift is also cleaning the attraction and attraction CMs cycle the cars after closing. So yea I smell shiit
Gary
Well I don’t think so but if true lifetime passes are coming.

Totally agree. Plus there are camera’s EVERWHERE. Motion detection devices everywhere and alarms.
Whodun
You’re correct. Much like many things posted from this page, it’s fake.

Things don’t add up in this story. It’s extremely unlikely this happened.

I worked ride attractions for 9 years at EPCOT. This story is a major lie. I know firsthand how the CM’s checks the rides. I have done it myself!
Sarah
This “reporter” is the one saying it was overnight. The TikTok never mentions anywhere that they were stuck overnight.

This site is always posting lies. Needs shut down.
