Because, you know, we can’t show you a wet Dolphin.

Meanwhile elsewhere: Football fans with such severe frostbite they require amputations of one or more digits because nobody thought to close up during adverse weather, so all the stupid people showed up anyway.

This is kinda shocking,. I worked at Sea World from 1985-1989 and we had several days of torrential rain during this time and the park NEVER closed in fact we never closed early as well . There were no rides back then just regular Orca , Dolphin Seal and Otter shows etc. Sea World has surely changed from back in the day.

      SeaWorld Employees Walk Off Job.
At the end of regular operating hours the employees walked to their cars and went home.
Executives refuse to comment as it was late in the day and we’re probably sleeping.

This is a 1_2 day closure. The title is suggestive of a permanent closure…
I was hoping it was a permanent closure and disappointment at it just being temporary.
    Author should be more transparent.

They do this crap on purpose for shock value and to deceptively lure people to their site. It’s pretty sad.

Wow, you are truly a sick individual!

They literally torture animals, they go crazy in the enclosures, these places should be illegal.

I am glad it is only a temporary closure. I have a Platinum Pass which is good for all the SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Parks in the country with the exception of Discovery Cove in Orlando which is separate admission. Although this so called media always makes sure the headlines infer something other than what is actually the story. It’s the old bait and switch click bait game. Gets kind of old after awhile. I guess the person who writes these stories has a one track mind and not very literary at all. Everything always starts out the same way.

    5. MBP

Yeah they torture animals, I was about to be very happy. Of course they built one in a country in the Middle East that was built with slave labor and could care less about human rights let alone animals.

Spend some time with a backstage tour. You will be amazed by the work SeaWorld does for preservation of marine life. The hundreds of species that are there no one would know they existed. Learning about what lives in the oceans is a extremely important part of saving those creatures.

The Archer of it should have been a lot more transparent because how it sounds like SeaWorld was closing because somebody was being fed to the piranhas down there in San Diego I just didn’t understand how SeaWorld could still be open after they fed all them people to the piranhas down there in San Diego . But you say it’s just going to be closing because of the thunderstorm that’s around the area because Karen brass declared an emergency for another thunderstorm that’s going to roll through the neighborhood between March 30th and 31st right just to get some excitement in the neighborhood.

  5. Dana

Wow when I was little we went to all theme parks in the rain it was the best time to go no one was there no lines nothing. Now every theme parks has blackout dates and closures and excuses.

You hacks really don’t get tired of false leading titles? Not intelligent or talented enough to make it on your own, you have to lie on already established IPs.

Sad bunch of “humans” you guys are.

  7. Rtvw

By the title and body of the article you would think it was closing forever. What about the animals? Can they let them go, finally but would they survive. So many unanswered questions. Then they sneak in the 1-2 day closure due to weather. Oh dear!!

    1. JLake

Many of the animals would not survive in the wild as they were born at SeaWorld and have never known any other life. I read that someone is creating a marine animal retirement home in the ocean that people can monitor in an enclosed bay somewhere, but that’s a few years in the future yet.

C’mon it’s a water based theme park so what’s some rain going to get you wet that’s why SeaWorld is where it is plus a lot of the rides get you Wet, I checked the weather down there and it’s no worse than up there in Ventura County and the bulk of the rain was after closing time?

  9. ROXANNE Colton

It’s about time. Happy too hear it
