Why is the bill always addressed as the “Don’t Say Gay Bill” instead of what it really is: “The Parental Rights In Education Bill”? The bias is self-evident!

      1. Bill

It’s being called that because that was the intended effect of the bill.

It was called that because that is exactly what the groomers were afraid it would accomplish.

It’s a strategy from the Trump playbook: Call someone or something by a catchy nickname so it sticks, whether it’s true or not. For example, “Crooked Hillary.” No one with a brain actually believed THAT.

Meanwhile, where in the “Parental Rights” bill does it state that you CAN say gay? If there’s no official guideline listing which words should never be used in a K thru 3 classroom, then what’s the point of having new legislation? It adds nothing meaningful to legislation that already existed regarding appropriate classroom instruction.

Where in the bill does it say you CAN say heterosexual? So I guess we can call it the ‘Dont Say Heterosexual” Bill. Parents should have the right to not have their children in lower grades taught about sexual matters.
