Netflix has been at the top of the leaderboard when it comes to streaming platforms for quite some time, but soon, there will be a large content cut, which will take place through April.

While it is exciting to see a new series or movie come to Netflix, what some users do not realize is that there are dozens, if not hundreds, of pieces of content each month.

Netflix may remove a title from its streaming library for various reasons. One common reason is licensing agreements. Netflix licenses content from studios and production companies for a specific period, and when these agreements expire, the titles may be removed from the platform. Additionally, Netflix may remove titles if they are not performing well in terms of viewership or if they no longer align with the platform’s content strategy.

Moreover, if Netflix decides to prioritize new content or focus on original productions, older or less popular titles may be removed to make room for new releases. Ultimately, the decision to remove a title is based on factors such as licensing agreements, viewer demand, and content strategy.

Knowing this, below is a full list of all of the content that will be disappearing next month, meaning you have under 30 days to watch it!

What’s Coming to Netflix in 2024?

Netflix has quite a few popular titles coming this year, with Squid Game being the largest release. Squid Game has had the most views and watch time of any TV show in Netflix history so its season two return is certainly highly anticipated.

In 2021, the inaugural season of Dong-hyuk’s Squid Game, comprising nine episodes, premiered. This gripping drama revolves around a lethal competition among financially struggling participants vying for a ₩45.6 billion prize. The series emerged as a monumental success for Netflix, earning widespread acclaim and garnering 14 Emmy nominations. Notably, it received a nomination for Best Drama Series, a historic achievement for a non-English-language production, ultimately securing victory in six categories.

Netflix shared their announcement for 2024 releases, noting:

“Looking ahead, despite last year’s strikes pushing back the launch of some titles, we have a big, bold slate for 2024. Audiences will be able to choose from hit returning dramas like ‘The Diplomat’ S2, ‘Bridgerton’ S3, ‘Squid Game’ S2 and ‘Empress’ S2; unscripted series like ‘Tour de France: Unchained’ S2,’ Love is Blind’ S6, ‘F1: Drive to Survive’ S6 and ‘Full Swing’ S2; and brand new shows like ‘3 Body Problem’ (based on the best selling novel and from the ‘Game of Thrones’ showrunners), ‘Griselda’ (starring Sofia Vegara, which premieres this week), ‘The Gentlemen’ (from Guy Ritchie), ‘Eric’ (starring Benedict Cumberbach), ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, ‘Cien Años de Soledad,’ from Colombia based on the novel by Gabriel García Márquez and Senna from Brazil.”

Netflix execs also confirmed that Emily in Paris Season 4 will launch later this year.

What did not make it on the list is Wednesday and Stranger Things, two of the most popular titles on Netflix. While many fans were hoping to see a 2024 release, they will not be premiering as they are both currently in the filming and pre-production phases.

While Stranger Things may not be on the docket, Netflix will premiere the fantasy movie Damsel on March 8, featuring a star-studded cast including Millie Bobby Brown, Angela Bassett, Robin Wright, and the prolific Ray Winstone. The film follows Brown’s character, Princess Elodie, who initially appears as a traditional damsel in distress but undergoes a transformation, learning to fend for herself. Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, known for his work on 28 Weeks Later, Damsel offers a fresh take on the classic damsel archetype.
