Not yet, we were thinking of going in a couple months. Now I’m not so sure. We have a service dog.

We go with my Service Dog around once a week. Occasionally we have horribly trained staff like this, but being well versed in the ADA helps. For instance, the ADA allows for service dogs to misbehave in minor ways, as long as their handler gains control of their dog. I’m shocked at the lies the staff tells the handler.

Don’t go ever the company hates America and the founding principles of it. They also spit on everything their company founders stood for

We’ve been to Disney multiple times with my daughter’s first service dog. We were often challenged because her first SD didn’t look like what most people think of as a SD. He looked like a “bad version” of a bearded Collie or a 65 pound version of “Benji” but he was one of the best trained dogs I have ever met. She has a second dog now. Although it was a number of years ago – we were always welcomed and never had any issues. I was struck by how odd this sounded. So sorry that this happened. I would pursue this with Disney – I have a lawyer contact in FL who went to bat with us because a Vacation Rental property owner wanted documentation that my daughter’s Golden (her current SD) was a service dog and also wanted written documentation of her disability – Way too many people are just completely ignorant about service dogs and it doesn’t help that there are idiots out there that slap a vest on their pet and call it a SD. And of course that makes it hard for those who need a SD to mitigate their disability.

If the dog was signaling that a seizure was imminent, why would he risk his safety and procede like everything was normal?

If the dog was triggering to a seizure event then perhaps walking through Disneyland is not the best idea right then. Maybe I missed something or perhaps there’s more to this story, usually is, but I don’t know…

I am an animal behaviorist, and trainer, now retired due to disability myself.
I can attest that no ID, registration, etc. is required for a service animal.
Particularly since there is video evidence, this veteran has the potential for a great legal case against Disney with the potential of extensive monetary damages for this entry denial, which I hope they pursue.
