My guess is that it has something to do with the outside balloons? There has to be more to it. I was congratulated by all the cast members during my engagement in Animal Kingdom.
Yeah, it might be something like that. I hate these clout- chasing videos that don’t give the full context of the situation and instigate people calling for firings
It’s the foil mylar ballon. Those ballons are not allowed on property due to they pose a risk to power lines and can shut down electricity when they come in contact with them.
I only saw hun being escorted to an area near the exit period maybe he had to wait there for his girlfriend and do the proposal at that location. No, where’s was? He ejected from the park.
Cast members from days of old would have replaced the “bad” balloons with good balloons and the guest would have been on his happy way. I’ve had a bunch of not so great interactions with cast members lately. Used to be the exception now it seems the rule.
Hmmm.
Change of plans- decided Disney isn’t the best destination for our 26th wedding anniversary in late June after all: Maybe Williamsburg VA. Historical theme park is a better option.
The magic is dead at Disney..The people who work there in 2024 dont appreciate the history of Disneyland or what it means to people. These clowns should be working security at a local flea market, not the “magic” kingdom. Walt Disney is turning in his grave. The magic is dead.
We are definitely missing part of the story. If it was the foil balloon (and I understand that reasoning very well), it would have been better optics for the CM to ask to take it away and replace it with a safe one. And I also understand that CMs are understaffed and overworked. Decisions sometimes need to be made quickly, and it can be tough.
I do agree that (along with hiring more CMs – come on, Disney) more attention should be paid to guests who are extra. Extra rude/shouting/pushing others, extra rule-breaking/line-cutting/climbing in and on off-limits spaces, extra drunk. I hate that to-go alcohol is served at any Disney park. This isn’t a Renaissance Festival, where strolling around with a drink is normal. Serve alcohol in locations where it must be consumed AT the location. Kinda spoils “the magic” when you see a group of people wandering around with plastic cups full of liquor. Sorry for getting off track!
This is total garbage. Disney movies are all about romance. How could or why would they want to discourage something as simple as a proposal. It a family affair.
Shame on you Disney
I can’t tell, but was he already in the park? It looks like he was. If he was, then how did he get through the entrance with the balloons if they’re not allowed? Did someone inside blow them up for him? If he was allowed to enter the park with the items, then why would they shut him down? Disney has really lost a lot of magic. And I agree, it used to be if something seemed off, they would do what they could to help you salvage the “dream”, but all that changed when Chapek became in charge of the parks and resorts division way before he took over as CEO. Sad, just freaking sad!
There isn’t any Disney left at Disney Parks. Just the average carnivals that Walt was trying to avoid. But he and his protégée’s are gone. As long as there are more new marks coming in than going away, the grift will continue.
And yet, a commercial for Disney shows a proposal occurring in front of the castle. I have read that you are no longer allowed to do proposals so why is it advertised.?

Disruptive and annoying? Then get rid of those hand-held bubble shooters they sell.
