Yes I think they should stay there a part of history that Walt Disney thought up himself

  2. Jay

Yes they should stay. Splash Mountain should not have been removed.

The people most critical of “Song of the South” have likely never seen it. The smartest person in the Joel Chandler Harris stories and the Disney movie is Uncle Remus.

The way things are going for Disney, Splash Mountain has a better chance of coming back then the people who are ruining Disney keeping their jobs.

Great article, Zach! I agree 100%

This generation wants no characters that spell their names with apostrophes in weird places. Good riddance to gratuitous punctuation!

Its very sad that a few folks were able to make change to something that the vast majority of people not only liked… they loved the ride. This is another horrible example of what happens when a few people push there view on others. Its very telling that even African Americans loved this ride. It makes you wonder if the person or people that made the biggest fuss have ever even been on the ride. Its probably some over weight white gal that thinks its here job to save society from its self. 💥💥 im offended by the new ride. My mom was a poor bkack lady tnat used to make soup all day and dream of a restaurant. Its very hard snd sad for my family to be reminded of our hard life everytime we go on this ride. I am almost in tears as we hit the drop. Please change the ride to something else so my family can enjoy our time at the happiest place on earth. 🤔🤨😬

Fascinating. So, according to your adorable little folktale, you and your family have been on the new ride multiple times already and found it offensive every time. Is that right? Excuse me while I go to my laughing place for a moment. Baaaahahahahahahha!

I don’t understand how anyone that ACTUALLY saw “Song of the South” could possibly consider it “Racist”! Further, there was ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to interpret “Splash Mountain” as being “Racist”, no were the CARTOON characters that were depicted on the ride. Banning the song “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” from the Disney parks is just MORE PROOF that Disney has gone full-on-LEFTIST & has totally lost all perspective as to what its customer base wants! Need more PROOF of this? The Disney stance regarding the Florida “Don’t Say Gay Law” was & is TOTAL BS, particularly since there is NOTHING in the law that says “don’t say gay” — a complete fabrication of LEFTISTS looking to “stir the pot” with outright LIES!!!

      You need a timeout.

Should never have removed Splash Mountain!

I love the theme of Princess and the Frog because it was sons favorite movie when he was a toddler. I really loved it myself also. However Splash Mountain is iconic. They should have left splash mountain and changed the theme.

      That’s exactly what they did.
