Some rides are outdated and could use a facelift or replaced, remember though those rides and the speedway are for little kids. The littles get the fun of “driving” a car on a track without risk of getting hurt. I have a feeling it will eventually get replaced by hopefully something similar but electric.
If they close down Carousel of Progress for refurb maybe they should upgrade to those new animotronics. I love that ride and it does seem dated but worth keeping and upgrading. Lots of the rides do need upkeep and I know the price will get passed onto guests. One day the parks will price themselves out of business or I ly the rich will be able to visit.
I would keep Carousel Of Progress it might be a little outdated just update it a little. That was one of the first rides at Disney. And they need to update a few more rides.
Unfortunately, I attribute the long wait times as self made by Disney. Many years ago, wait times for Peter Pan was never 2 hours. In fact, I could often ride back to back at night…no longer. Michael Eisner brought a lot of modern entertainment to Disney during his time. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said since his departure. Shutting rides down because kids are scared and replacing with character meet and greets was not the right direction.

A lot of these rides bring back memories to us “older folks”, and there’s a lot of newer rides and attractions for the younger patrons. Why worry?
