Chance Perdomo was only 27 years old, but it was reported today that the actor had his life taken from him after a motorcycle accident turned fatal. It was stated that there as no one else injured or involved in the motorcycle accident.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Perdomo’s representatives, who said, “His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest,” a statement from his reps said. “We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”

Perdomo, originally from Los Angeles but raised in Southampton, England, earned a BAFTA nomination for his role in the 2018 film Killed by My Debt. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of the clever Ambrose on the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, starring alongside Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina the Teenaged Witch.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina achieved significant success, captivating audiences with its dark and supernatural storyline. The series garnered praise for its compelling characters, engaging plotlines, and stylish visual presentation. It attracted a dedicated fanbase and received positive reviews from both viewers and critics alike. Much like other Netflix shows like Stranger Things and Wednesday, which deal with a younger cast facing demonic entities, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fit right in.

The show was called a “Devilishly good time” by reviewers, while Parrot Analytics has found that the audience demand for Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina is 8.6 times the demand of the average TV series in the United States. 2.7% of all shows in this market have this level of demand.

Perdomo introduced pansexuality to a new Netflix audience with his character on Sabrina, to which he spoke on:

“I didn’t know too much beforehand on pansexuality. The creators and I had a chat and we didn’t want to make it too much of a buzzword, so we established that it was part of Ambrose’s storyline and who he is fundamentally and after that we kinda just get right along with the story and didn’t try to explain it. I think the reason that it’s put in the character breakdown, that he is a pansexual necromancer, is because of people like myself who may not have been aware as much about pansexuality within the LGBTQ community”

Perdomo’s latest role was as Andre Anderson, a magnetic personality with the power to control magnets, in the Prime Video spinoff series Gen V.

Production for Season 2 of Gen V has not commenced, but according to someone familiar with the matter, filming will be delayed following Perdomo’s passing.

“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this,” producers of Gen V said in a statement. “For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”

Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television said, “The entire ‘Gen V’ family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”

More information on what caused the motorcycle accident has not yet been divulged.

We at Inside the Magic send our condolences to Chance’s friends and family; his talents will certainly be missed.
