What does loser of a parent got banned from Disney? What a horrible thing to do to your child do you know how many kids I have found wandering around Disney crying because they lost their parents sometimes I wonder if maybe they abandon them on purpose I find so many of them wandering around and I’m crying one hast wonder.

Well if the train operator was doing their job right no one should be near the train when its released. So not only are the parents terrible for doing this but the cast member shouldn’t have released the train with the child near it in the first place. Im thinking the parent didn’t just drop them from rocket they had to put the clear of it on the other side and get back in. Which means again cast members weren’t fully doing their job

Don’t put the blame workers that have alot going on.the parents should be charged with neglect.YOUR THE PARENT ACT LIKE ONE

I find it hard to believe no one noticed the kid before the ride took off… Those CMs check, double check, and make sure no one is in the boarding area before release the car…

I agree that the parents are the main ones to blame and need to take responsibility, but Todd is right: Whoever was operating the ride should have noticed, and even helped the child. I’ve spent over 30 years operating kids’ rides myself at fairs and festivals. The job isn’t only about getting the next group on the ride. It’s also about the safety of anyone who gets on or is around the ride.

This doesn’t seem possible. If the kid is to short the dad has to have a strong hard to throw the child in a ride vehicle from the height indicator before riding. After that party says how many in the group. Thats a 10 foot throw at least.

So, funny story. One of my most vivid memories of the first time I went to Disneyland in spring of 1989 involved a similar situation.
I was 8 and my little brother was 5. We all waited in line to ride space mountain. When we arrived at the loading zone, my little brother stepped across and sat by the cast member. They were very friendly and inviting. The rest of us got in the car and rode the ride. The next time we rode it, I stepped over with my brother because the first time made me sick. The cat members talked to us and showed how the controls worked. It was very memorable and fun.
Sadly that magic has been washed away with regulations and fear.

My husband and I always take turns. One of us stays with the child that can’t or doesn’t want to ride. What they did is child endangerment.

In my opinion, this is child abuse and I hope Disney contacted CPS for more follow up. If someone is willing to just leave their young child so carelessly in a public location, what else happens when there aren’t any witnesses?

Your right…the staff should have called police, and the parents should have been charged with child abandonment and child abuse for dropping
      them…

  8. I would have stayed with the little one and let my husband take the older one on the ride or I would talk to the person who is managing the ride to ask some one else to manage the ride to help take care of my little one

When I rode Space Mountain, I was in front on the very first car.

Me too. I think is was 5 or 6 back in 1976 or 77. They put the little one in front and I was terrified. My parents brought me back when I was 12 and did all the rides but space mountain.

  10. Couldn’t any of the CMs think. Call security, don’t let the car go. Woke people can only do what they have been taught. If that kid fell and was injured, a big lawsuit. That parent needs to be jailed. I bet nothing happened😡😡

The “ride switch” is an excellent thing for parents of younger kids; one of you wait with the child while the first parent rides and then the one that rode gets off and takes the child while the employee lets the other parent ride immediately with no waiting in line. I would never, ever just leave my kid there without their parent with them! That’s abuse, not to mention a safety issue. What’s wrong with some people?!

Some ppl just don’t deserve to be parents.

  12. I have gone to Disney world a few times in my life time and I’ve had seen kids screaming or wondering off by themselves or be left alone my heart be broken no child had to go through that at at all if we misbehave you can be sure if we get our butt whipped and be grounded for a lifetime. Controlling kids is a 24 hour job some parents just chalk up it as he/she is tired or needs to get their energy out and parents will get annoyed with their kids and just ignore them I was lucky to be raised by the best parents around they raised me right
