We saw DW starting to get greedy and go downhill in 2019. Mind you, we’d been going literally since DW opened and got resident passes as soon as they came out. I grew up going to DW, including going for my 16 the birthday.

But 2019 was the last time we set foot on Disney property and the rate it’s going, will probably not be going back any time soon, if at all. And being only 2 hours away, we spent a lot of time there and always stayed at the resorts.

I miss going, but I don’t miss putting up with all the crap going on.

Too expensive. Disney was always a budget stretcher, but once or twice a year we would stretch our budget for 1 or 2 days. Prices now are like going to a two bit carnie riddled with professional pickpockets. I think that if the origin story is true, Walt would be disappointed and Roy would be disgusted.

We didn’t get the annual pass this past year due to budget constraints and the increase in price. This year, we did get the Pixie Dust pass( thank God we are Florida residents) and added the water park and recreation pass to it. Such a shame, that back in 2014, you could get the Premium Annual pass, which included all of the options on the recreation add on, and free picture downloads for about $800 a year (yes, those tickets have increased thaat much and include far less.) The new passes are not fair to anyone, most especially the guests who don’t live instate. The only positives are that the Puxie Dust pass does include parking, and there aren’t as many blackout dates. If you don’t mind missing the craziness of the weekends, or holidays, it’s the best value out there. As far as Genie+, we didn’t use it 2 years ago and have no intention of using it now. We were able to ride all the attractions we desired, by using single rider and going during slower times. However, if the rumor about doing away with Single rider lines is true, that might jut be the last straw, especially with a brand new park opening right down I-4.

Disney is nothing but price gouging piece of crap now. We’ve been going since 1986. But now with all the price increases, including annual passes, We’ve been going to Universal Orlando. It’s cheaper and we have as much fun as we ever would at Disney.

Since 2012 my family and I have been at DW ( except 2020 ) but all the extras we have to pay now made us shift to spend mor time at the universal parks, is really annoying ti be in the line and see how little the normal line moves while lighting goes basically right into the ride
