    Netflix won’t learn…
Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop. They tweaked things and they went over like lead balloons. But they’re spending tons of money on these live action conversions.

As “iffy” as an ancient Eskimo woman thinking/speaking like a modern day liberal arts college, gender studies course feminist? No narrative incongruence to see there, right?

Yes, I’ll watch it, but with great skepticism.

This change may not ruin the show, but it is definitely disappointing and shows that they do not truly and deeply understand the source.

As so many people have pointed out, this is a major arc for his character, and carries a very important message.

Plus where is the issue with showing a flawed character maturing, admitting he was wrong, and becoming better for it? Isn’t that a message we should be teaching people – that they can send should do better.

In fact it’s a message I think they should heed – mature, admit you’re wrong, be better, do better.
