Or it fell out of her bag? Or she left it in the bathroom? She said she never let it out of her sight and nothing else was missing

I was thinking the same thing!

I agree. Why wouldn’t someone have taken the whole bag and ditched it after rumbling through it. But, to even mention that it was $2 worth of pads you lost and it ruined your day and the next day is a bit much. Geez, looks like you couldn’t handle something really serious!

True. However there are things taken everywhere by others so it could have happen. We had a digital camera taken right from our stroller at WDW. When we reported it we were told we were the tenth camera that day.

I agree it probably fell out of her back if she never let the bag out of her sight how is it possible for somebody to steal something out of it?

When I use a backpack, I slip a tiny numerical lock through all the zipper pulls. Someone could still slash the bottom, etc. but it deters the “casual” thief. I’m sure you can find one online.

I had an interesting theft at Magic Kingdom once. I use a wheel chair since I have bad knees, to get on the ride at the Haunted Mansion, I had to leave the wheel chair, It was rented from the front of the park and was a large one as I am a bigger person. when we got done with the ride, I went out to get into it, and someone had switched the tag onto an older small one and stole my hat that was in the back pouch. Nice. Hope they had a magical day. It ruined mine for a while. I reported it but they don’t seem to be numbered or anything at that time so who knows.

My husband and I spent a week at Disney December 3 thru9th 2023. I wore a cross body bag that was zipped and under my arm all week. Our very first day we were at Disney springs with a lot of guests. We were bumped and pushed often. Twice I found my purse unzipped. And when I went to pay for dinner, I noticed that a small pouch I carried medical records and a small amount of money was missing. I never reported it. But I should have.

I guess I’ve just been lucky visiting Disney since they opened – so far – knock on wood, lol.
I had the opposite happen. Twice a few years apart, our children left a toy in a resort and a hat in the MK. We described baby hat and the stuffed moose, the moose was sorely missed. Disney found them and mailed them to us! ❤️

I put all.my money in one front pocket and I put my license, credit cards, insurance card and aaa card in a little plastic holder in my other front pocket. Ever since we started going. I won’t give anyone a chance to pickpocket me. Plus sitting on a wallet while driving from NY to Fla would not be fun

She didn’t report it to the security or a cast member but she contacted a media outlet to say her pads were stolen? 15 minutes of fame over

Traumatized? She was TRAUMATIZED? Really? Because someone stole a pouch with sanitary pads out of her backpack? Traumatized! My guess is it was left in a bathroom. Even a pickpocket can tell the difference between a pouch with pads and a wallet. And as far as the so-called “traumatized” goes, get over yourself or I suggest you talk to a victim of rape, assault, etc., and find out what REAL trauma is. I’d be laughing if it were me and I thought it really happened. Imagine going to all the trouble and risk to steal something the owner is keeping their sight on every minute only to find it’s sanitary pads!

Loungefly makes Disney backpacks that are hugely popular but not very safe to use, they should make them anti theft like the others you can buy because they’re too easy to unzip.

Guests should never feel “safe” anywhere there are crowds, including at Disney. A pick-pocket attempted to steal my husband’s wallet at Disney Springs, and we witnessed some thieves snatch a woman’s purse at Epcot. People who carry their phones in their back pockets are especially vulnerable to theft. It happens everywhere, and there is only so much Disney security can do.

Thuggery is everywhere. You have to be streetsmart in crowds, even at Disney.
