I get sending him home because public intoxity to the point of being violent is completely unacceptable. But disney world is also part of public property and I don’t care what anyone says or what a judge says, a cop and business owner should never have the authority of trespassing a citizen from anyplace other than a persons place of business where the person actually owns the building.

Not true. Disney is private property.

Disney is private property and they not only have the right to trespass him, they have the responsibility to do so as well.

If they didn’t trespass him and he injured someone else, then Disney could be held liable for the injury since they knew about his behavior and did nothing, so they had to trespass him for everyone’s safety and to protect themselves.

Walt Disney World itself is private property. And when you purchase tickets (single day or AP), you agree to abide by their rules. WDW issued the property ban. The deputies issued the trespass order at the request of the business (WDW). Thet’s how trespass orders work. And by refusing to abide by the trespass order, he was resisting the deputy’s order, therefore he was arrested.
More people need to be trespassed from theme park properties, not just Disney ones. Going to a theme park is a privilege; if you can’t behave like a civilized person, you should forfeit your ability to stay or return. I don’t care how much you spent on your tickets, or if you just paid for an annual pass.

      Laughable

That’s… The point… Will. This is private property.

Confused is this a recent event or did it occur in January 2023?

I really hope the girlfriend is now an ex and that she didn’t get her dad or lawyer and let the guy fend for himself.

Maybe Disney should train cast members to know when to flag customers

They do; it’s just that in recent years, CMs have not had the ability to actually take action. It seems as if Disney is finally giving CMs more freedom to do something about unruly guests. And about darn time. I don’t want the CMs (who are already understaffed) to feel they have to be cops, but they should have the backing of management to handle misbehaving guests. And sadly, it seems as if Disney needs to beef up their numbers in the Security department.

It is time for Disney to go back to not selling Alcohol in the parks.
