Not sad. Be a whole lot cooler if they tore it down. Tear it all down Disney and give Floridians back their swamp. When you go, take the people that moved to Florida with you.
You speak for yourself as someone who is a local and went on the star cruiser it was so amazing to be a little part of the star wars story and to see what the art of the possible is. The level of thought and creativity that went into the experience is amazing and I will forever be grateful for that experience. Florida still has plenty of beautiful swamp land and that can be experienced as well but this was/is a great use of the space.
My wife and I were fortunate that we were able to afford the Star Cruiser, and we really enjoyed it. We’re were thinking about booking another stay around this time when we heard it was closing. I’m not really surprised because as enjoyable as it was, it was aiming for too much of a niche market at a price that wasn’t affordable for a lot of Star Wars fans.
I agree! Why not have the experiences like an al la carte menu? You get x many with your reservation and can add on more for x cost. That way those who can afford the egregious amount of $6k can have full immersion and those who can’t will still be able to go and hit the highlights they’d like to see. Bring back the jobs, the fun, and make a whole lotta geeks happy! Lol

Do not call Disney’s sequel trilogy “George Lucas’s vision”. This was NOT George’s vision.

I suspected some sort of tax dodge when the made cabanas in Tomorrowland then made it into an express bus. Wonder the same about this.

They should make the star wars cruise price more affordable for everyone including myself then they wouldn’t need to close it down

Was the maiden voyage in 2020 during the pandemic? Or is there a typo in the story and the actual date two years later?
