The only thing Disney could do not to even try and save the film, is to destroy it, and do it over. And not use the untalented Ziegler, but a good Actress, that could play the part. Then go back to the original story, and work off from that.
I doubt Disney will do that though, they would just prefer to have another flop.
I think Disney needs to do the film over and make it stay true to the original 1937 film, if they can’t add anything with what they already have to make it stay true to the original.
Instead of virtue signalling and wasting billions doing so, take that money and donate it to charities if they are really serious about the message their “entertainment” gives. Far better than the drivel they are currently producing and will have a longer lasting impact.
Good riddance. Rachel Ziegler was the worst decision they could have made. I was looking at recent Disney movies, and most of them promote some kind of backwards DEI social values before the story… no wonder they bombed at the box office.
She isn’t and needs to learn to respect and revere the movie that made Disney a household name and literally built the studio. This is why when the media giants get broken up I look forward to the studios being handed back to the families of those great studio chiefs like Darryl F. Zanuck, Jack Warner, and the great Louis B. Mayer and the return of the old Studio System of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Movie stars will be contracted to the studios again and Zegler will have her life controlled by a studio if she wants to keep acting. Mayer and Irving Thalberg would’ve never stood for her behavior.

Three points, bear with me:
1) Disney, ironically, like it’s iconic heroine, has bitten the poison apple of wokeness, proffered by the Woke Witch who seeks to preserve her woke catechism as preeminent in the land. But Disney’s gone further in banishing a rescuing prince from its universe, so good luck with that.
2) Those whom the Woke priesthood castigated with every name in the book, a rational business would have admitted constituted the voice of the customer & acted accordingly.
3) Disney has immolated $1.5B in the past 4 years on the altar of wokeness, killing the Star Wars & Marvel brands. Now the rot has reached the core business & Disney will kill its own brand, hectoring us & threatening our children with perversity & political nonsense.
I’m confident there are good storytellers out there, but they won’t be found at the house of mouse henceforth.

Agreed 100% – Dump the Woke or go Broke. IF YOU have to keep redoing the classics, then keep the story line.
Yvonne
Why do we hate Rachel?
Bayou Boy
“We” don’t. Snowflakes do.
Ryan
She is rude and a bad actress. Disney has bastardized Snow White. Brett Coppers is way better. Hornswoggle should be playing a dwarf.
Ryan
Right needs to be done.
Jacob Allen

Ann
I won’t go see it in theaters or when its released. It is going to be horrible on a major level. Disney has lost the magic they use to have.
Paul Collins
I hope it flops big time. Disney promotes woke over entertainment, and it shows.
Todd Hudson
I just wish they would learn that if it isnt broke dont fix it.
Wokey Dwarf
…but if it isn’t woke, DO fix it.

Marxism has seeped into Disney’s payroll and they need to purge it out.
Steamboat Wokey
Groucho has nothing to do with this.
Ryan
This movie is bad and Rachel needs to be replaced.

This movie is bad and Rachel needs to be replaced ASAP.
Ryan
The movie is horrible

I’ll just watch the original again. It’s on D+.
Citizen M
I can’t wait to avoid ‘SO WHAT and the Seven Dorks’!

What’s wrong with Rachel?
Kungaloosh
Nothing’s wrong with Rachel. Some whiny people have convinced themselves that she’s not entitled to her own opinion.

I give you Exhibit A.

She is a horrible person that south park needs to continue to make fun of.

Keep It Simple
Someone’s really in love with his own writing.
Ryan
Amen Star Wars sequels are fan fiction.
Ryan
Hornswoggle from WWE should be the lead Dwarf.
