Poor Dad. I had ‘leashes’ for my kids when they where little since my son was like that little one. Nothing wrong with the leashes. It keeps your kids safe and you know where they are.
I agree as my nephew was on a “leash” at our State Fair. People skoffed at my parents and nephews parents until an announcement overhead : Mrs Jones, you seem to be lost and it would be nice for you to report to lost and found”.
We are all tired of reading these stories. If people cannot follow rules, the just ban them. Most people want to have a magical adventure. Follow the rules. WWWWD (what
would Willy Wonka do)?
Just follow the rules. I’ve been to Disney World this past January and last January. My sister, nephew and I had so much fun without making a scene or breaking rules.
At that age, if I saw one of my parents, let alone two looking at me in that agitated manner, I KNEW I was in deep trouble.
This kid has gotten away with this behavior, henceforth the disregard for his parents anger. Just my guess…
I had one child that I used a leash with because she was a runner. Best choice I ever made. I had another that learned early that I meant it when I said if you don’t behave we’re leaving. Different kids need different parenting. I hated sitting in the parking lot with a crying child, but I only had to do it twice. Something as big as Disney I would have left with her and let her promise to behave bring us back after a nap. I feel for the Dad.
Rules are in place for a reason and saying the kid is just having fun and should be allowed to continue is wrong. Children need to be controlled for everyone’s sake
