I love sleepytime soooo much. It’s beautiful visually and sound wise also. The story is so sweet and real and relatable. The bit where Bandit gets kicked in the groin is something all dad’s have experienced. That makes it even more real. My baby is 43 and I still love this show.
This is my grear-nephew nap time episode. Bluey calms him and makes him laugh. Believe it or not he is only 18 months old. He already knows the theme song.
Im a pediatrician and have been evangelizing Bluey to parents for a while. Sleepytime is genius. Btw, my brother is an actor and was in a Tim Burton film
Just had to get that bit in there eh? “My brother is an actor.” We’re talking about Bluey. Unless your brother acted in that then ok. Totally irrelevant
i was a member of a bluey fan group for adults, and i read one story of a woman who introduced her boyfriend and his family to bluey during a family get together of his. they relented and agreed to watch ONE episode, and she chose sleepytime. they did the usual roasting of children’s television at first, but by the end they were silent. later in the day after the episode, the woman overheard her boyfriend randomly telling his mom, “i love you.” out of nowhere. the group all agreed it came from the influence of bluey. i wish i could link to the story but i’m no longer on facebook.
Personally I’ll take Grannymobile, Escape, Tina, Dragon and Pavlova as the best of the series, they are uproariously funny,
and make me laugh no matter how many times I watch them..The world needs more diversion like this.
I am a 59 year old glamma. We discovered bluey about a year ago. my four year old granddaughter and I watch it together every morning. I don’t think there’s an episode that I’ve ever watched over and over again that I don’t laugh till my stomach hurts. It’s nice to see such real life situation in cartoon form that kids can watch and relate to. They may not fully understand it but it’s a Positive show. One of my next favorite episodes is ice cream. Thank and keep up the great work👍🏿
I saw this episode and had to watch it over and over. Bluey is my favorite kids show. I’m 64. So much imagination and kids having wholesome fun and most of all pretending!
Bluey is a wonderful show now I am a 31 year old man and was looking for something to watch late at night and I turned it on Disney and found Bluey and just laid down watching it and after a few episodes found myself enjoying it especially when it got to the episode Sleepytime, that episode made me emotional. Point is there is nothing controversial about this episode it is adorable. And heartwarming.
I love Bluey because it teaches a lesson to kids and parents. Instead of tablets and phones ECT..take time out to really enjoy your kids or grandkids. The whole show is great! Best cartoon ever!! Thanks Australia for such a great show!
Bluey is on at our house more than 1x a day. My grandchildren know the episodes inside and out.
Wouldn’t change any of them. Sleepytime is good as well as every other episode.
I just found out this week that Telemachus and Calypso are characters from The Odyssey. All the little elements in this show — it’s just amazing, and I’m a middle-aged father with two newly-ish-adult children. Sleepytime is a beautiful episode, and I also love the one where Bluey is trying to stop the rain flowing down the front walk with Chilli. Quality parenting time there. But, yes, Granny Mobile rocks.
There are many elements of “Sleepytime” that I liked. The music and visual elements were fantastic. However, when Chili says, “I am always here for you, even when you can’t see me, because I love you.” I started crying. That is a mother’s love.
I am a grand dad to 8. I am also a professional Santa. I can honestly say Bluey is absolutely one thing that was talked about and asked for by kids this year. Personally, I love the show. It is real life raising toddlers. I see so much of my girls in Bluey and Bingo. Then I see so much of my granddaughter in them too.
Sleepytime is watched Everytime my grandson stays with my wife and I. He loves it.
Sleepytime is the episode I put on trying to calm the kiddies before bed….on most nights lol. And I’m ok with that. We have a 12 yo, 7 yo, 5 yo, and 2 year old and Bluey is the ONLY show they can ALL agree on, AND THE! ONLY!! SHOW!!! THAT ME AND DAD ACTUALLY ENJOY TOO! They truly thought of EVERYONE when they made it. From my family to Bluey…..THANK YOU 💙
I am 58 and I love Bluey.
I have no kids but like Chili was doing trying to get her dad to rest after his heart work, I felt.
Also, when her sister visited and she explained to Bluey that there was something her Aunt wanted that she couldn’t have.
Another of my favorite ones was when the baby bird died. And the supermarket one about favorites. I also really liked The Quiet Game.
I’m a 45 yo father of a 7yo girl and me and my daughter LOVE Blue. When we put her to bed I find my self continuing to watch even though she’s gone to bed. Our Fave is SmoochyKiss. My daughter calls it the “Pee on his Foot” episode. It’s hilarious. The whole show is just fantastic and a great program for kids and parents. BTW, we also love the Grannies!!!!
I discovered Bluey when my granddaughter was 6 months old. She’s 3 1/2 now and her brother will be a year old in March and we all love Bluey. The kids will literally have it on all day. They could be bathing or playing outside, but we need to keep Bluey on. For me, it’s something I love to watch when I’m not with my grand babies.

Sleepytime is excellent, beautiful, and emotionally charged, but I don’t think you could ever call it controversial. 😅
