First get your reporting correct please, Six Flags does not (nor will it ever) be in charge of running Knott’s Berry Farm.

Yes, Six Flags and Cedar Fair are “merging”, but first it has not been finalized, secondly it will be Cedar Fair that is in charge, they are just going to use the Six Flags name publicly for stocks, etc. But the theme parks for each brand will not be rebranded either.

Knott’s has always worked with people on a case by case basis in the past when their proposed solutions will not work, I cannot imagine they wouldn’t do so with this one. But the majority of the people that would have been going today will be school groups and season pass holders, so there isn’t likely to need to be a public disclosure of what they will do for a relative handful of people that may have an issue.

“Now, Knott’s Berry Farm will be joining Six Flags Magic Mountain, shutting down entirely.”

You made it sound like Knott’s Berry farm was permanently closing.

Perhaps you could have added “.. for the day or until weather improves”

A lot of rides close down due to the weather. If it’s severe enough, the whole park will shut down. Had many times sat at work telling people the ride can’t operate and one time was called to not come in due to it raining so much.

When you report a story just get to the point. All of the intro and wall of text is unnecessary. Most likely people know what the subject in the story is. Just tell people what the story is about. Keep it short.

The only reason Knotts would close for rain is because of the drains not handling the rain properly enough plus if it rains heavily the underpass to the east parking lot floods
